The perfect hotel for an O2 concert. Pretty good for a trip into London too.

We stayed here for a Monday night concert at the O2. We knew it was next to the O2 but we didn't realise there was a dedicated corridor from the hotel to the arena. You simply walk past reception and out the back door and you are at the Arena. It took less than 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to the venue which was great on the way in, and even better on the way out.

It takes about 7 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Tube station (North Greenwich, Jubilee Line) which gets you into Green Park for Mayfair/Piccadilly in 20 minutes or so.

The hotel itself is huge! The lobby/reception area was vast and well staffed meaning we didn't wait to checkin. Our room was available ahead of time which was great.

The room itself - a River View double bedroom was huge. I think we had a king sized bed, small seating area, desk and plenty of wardrobe space. The bathroom wad large enough to accommodate a large rain shower and a full sized bath tub. A full mini bar and small safe were also in the room.

Our River View was immense. Floor to Ceiling window occupied almost the whole wall giving you a cinematic view of the River across to Blackall Yard. Pressing your nose against the window and looking left you could see Canary Wharf but we were very happy with our view.

The lighting system was like other Intercontinental Hotels, which takes me some time to work out how to use but not a major issue.

We had late night room service which was very quick to arrive and tasty.

This is not a cheap hotel but you get what you pay for. We will be staying here again for the next concert.
