Arranged amid lush gardens replete with olive and citrus trees, Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa s collection of 49 casita suites and villas provides luxurious residential-style accommodations in a serene, secluded setting.
Room types include junior suites, which offer studio-style floor plans, and one- or two-bedroom suites with separate wet bars and sunken living room areas.
Each suite is graced with a self-contained garden patio complete with plush furnishings nestled around flickering outdoor fireplaces. Some suites boast an alfresco Jacuzzi spa as well.
Bedrooms have queen- or king-sized beds outfitted with deluxe down comforters and 600-thread-count linens.
Bathrooms feature walk-in closets, separate lavatories with heated Toto toilets, generously proportioned vanities, large showers embellished with hand-painted tiles and soaking tubs deep enough to indulge in spa-like bubble baths. There s also custom-blended Amala bath products
.Veladora, the resort s upscale signature eatery, and The Pony Room, which serves tapas, are helmed by executive chef Josh Holt.

Next door, The Pony Room offers high-end pours with a focus on tequila and unique cocktails in an indoor-outdoor venue that takes advantage of the San Diego hotel's incredible year-round weather.
Enjoy bites like lobster nachos, New Zealand lamb lollipops or a farro- and veggie-packed Power Bowl alfresco on the terrace that overlooks the Five-Star hotel's croquet lawn.
The polo-inspired Pony Room offers a full range of luxury liquors with a focus on craft tequilas and unique cocktails, and a rustic bar menu offers lunch and dinner. Take a seat on The Pony Room's terrace by a fire pit in the evenings for a lovely spot to sip fine wine, enjoy a charcuterie board and take in picture-perfect Southern California views.
