My husband, 79, had mourned the loss of his two ch...

My husband, 79, had mourned the loss of his two chocolate lab girls over the years. We live in a retirement community and so I knew we couldn t give a rambunctious little lab puppy what it needed, so I checked with LRROF. I filled out a rather long application in order to find a good match. I was told when you had specific needs, it could sometimes take a couple of months. I submitted the application on Thursday, got a call on Friday! Due to COVID, they did a phone interview and contacted our vet for references. Long story, shortened ) they matched us to a calm, sweet natured 4 year old chocolate lab coming off heart worm treatment. We drove from Lake County to Jacksonville to met her and it was love at first sight. They did a wonderful job matching us. We go to the dog park every day and my hubby has begun walking her in the neighborhood. She has really enriched our lives. Thank you LRROF!
