Hereby I wanted to thank the cardiac surgery department on the 4th floor of the San Donato polyclinic, where I was hospitalized from January 16 to today.

I was able to be treated and assisted in an impeccable manner by the nursing, support and rehabilitation medical staff.

I was very impressed by humanity, by the great professionalism and availability of everyone.

It is a department of excellence as well as post-operative intensive care, where professionals of great human and professional depth operate.

Special thanks to dr. Giamberti who operated on me (as well as endured with all my anxieties!) With dr. Varrica and dr. Lorito as well as with Doctor Doria.

I also thank dr. Chessa, the dr. D 'Aiello and Doctor Negura who have been close to me with their firmness and encouragement.

I also thank the intensivists whose name unfortunately I can't remember.

In particular, I would also like to thank dr. Micheletti and Dr. Basile who have been of great comfort to me every day with their infinite patience and great preparation; they are wonderful people and great professionals who work with absolute self-sacrifice.

I have been working for 25 years in Healthcare and I must say that I was struck and moved by the team work and synergy that I saw day after day in this structure where the gurus of Italian cardiology and cardiac surgery operate alongside with young doctors full of motivation and renewing energy: a winning mix.

Thanks to the nursing coordinator Gianni Zaffino and in particular to the cardiac surgery nurses: Natalia, Micaela, Biagio, Mia, Vincenzo and to all the assistance staff, as well as to the excellent physiotherapists.

Finally, I thank Dr. Giovanna Martina Campioni and the whole team of AICCA psychologists (Sara Beatrice and Adelaide) for their fundamental emotional support: what they do is very important! I hope that San Donato will always be able to recognize the fundamental importance of this exceptional association which works by constantly harmonizing with the clinical component.

Words are not enough to describe all my gratitude for this wonderful team.
