I've spent four hours one afternoon waiting to see a physician for my mother-in-law who was experiencing a major panic attack. We finally left when they told us it could be another 4 hours. The place wasn't even busy. I took her to an MD today and got fast, professional and more compassionate care. Tonight 4 am experiencing excruciating eye pain, the ER could not give me any idea if they could see me in less than four hours. What kind of a Health System runs an ER like this? I have great insurance too. I'm thinking this is a glimpse of what government health care looks like.
