I've thought long and hard about how to rate this hotel.
First: It is absolutely not a resort. It's simply a hotel that charges a resort fee of $25 a night. (Which I didn't have to pay because I used points)
Second : It is $18 a night to park! The excuse given is that it's across the street from the Convention Center. How does that make any sense? It has keycard entry so why would you have to charge the customers?
Third: no laundry on site. I expected this to be like the other two HGVC resorts that we've stayed at in the Orlando area. No full kitchen and no laundry anywhere on property.
Fourth: No activities for kids or anyone like they do at the other HGVC resorts down the road. Again, this is a hotel, not a resort at all.
Fifth: Housekeeping was really bad. She didn't replace the towels each day. She simply re-folded them. And one day our towels smelled like mildew. The bathroom floor was never mopped while we were there. (6 nights)
Sixth: you can't use a luggage cart. They are for the bellman only. So you have to use a bellman and tip. Not that I minded tipping but I would like the choice

Most of the staff seemed nice.

Overall, it was very disappointing. You really wouldn't know how disappointing unless you had stayed at HGVC at Sea World or the one on International Drive. I used a years worth of points to pay for this week and that's another reason I was so upset. The rooms are also VERY small compared to other HGVC. Like I said , this is just a hotel like any other that I stay at when I travel for work every week. It's not a resort and certainly the free internet and movie rentals are not worth the $25 a night resort fee. I understand that they are working on expanding and making this into a HGVC resort but until then, stop ripping people off with the "resort fee" and ridiculous parking fees.

If you have a choice, definitely stay at the one at Sea world and don't waste your money on this one.
