We need a manager to contact us because we were charged an additional driver fee of $13/day (for a 7 day rental) although my husband and I are married. I've never had to pay that for my husband before. Spouses are automatically considered an authorized driver in the state of Texas and we should not have had to pay the additional fee. They said since the rental agreement was in my name but we put the deposit on HIS card he had to be charged the $13/day additional driver fee. Once I told a colleague who is well versed in law, she informed me that doesn't matter and we were not supposed to be charged the additional driver fee since we are spouses period. The telephone number on our rental agreement keeps saying it's a non-working number and other numbers we Google for Advantage includes a 20+ min hold only to be hung up on in the middle of our conversation. Would've given a 3 if I could at least get in contact with someone locally or if their customer service answered in a timely manner and stayed on the phone long enough to fully resolve the situation.
