While there isn't a huge variety of straight up breakfast/brunch places in Pittsburgh, fortunately, Square Cafe is one of them. Packed on the weekends but if it's just for two, you can usually get in pretty quick, most of their tables can be put together or pulled apart piecemeal.
Great menu, love the occasional changes and every interesting sounding pancake has been on my list of favorite pancakes ever. Cinnamon something pancake, and the pumpkin Walnut are two noteworthy favorites. Otherwise, the more standard square protein breakfast and their omelettes are well worth it.
