So on Saturday the 4th of May I inquired online to replace my 2005 Ford Escape. I live and work in the Renton area so I inquired with both Car Pros in Renton and Tacoma by mistake. At first I got the emails asking me to come in instead of a price quote like I asked. I explained that I was checking prices on different dealers and other brands too and asked for a price. After receiving a price I asked about free oil changes and was told that he should be able to throw those in without getting his head cutoff by the General Manager from the Renton store. Very odd to say and made me have bad thoughts already. That is where it went completely sideways with these 2 stores.

Rather then bore you with the long winded responses I will keep it as brief as possible.

Both Car Pros Kia in Renton and Tacoma are very arrogant and rude in their responses. Bragging that they sell the most Kia s in the state so that should be why a consumer should fall for their bully ness. The General Manager Christina Jones in Renton even talked bad about the Tacoma store telling me she checked their CRM and said that they had not replied to me and would not that day since they were so busy. How is a consumer supposed to know what a CRM is? They told lies about the 20 year, 200,000 mile Warranty another dealer offers for free and assumes people do not keep their cars longer then 10 years. Both the Sales Manager Cheryl Russo from Tacoma and the General Manager Christina Jones from Renton said the 20 year or Lifetime Warranty was not any good unless you did all of your service at the dealership in Puyallup. Complete lie. Yes the free oil changes are only good in Puyallup but not required to have the extra free Warranty for 20 Years or 200,000 miles.

I even explained to the Renton General Manager that it seemed like she had a chip on her shoulder and she then did apologize in a cocky kind of way. I shared that email with the Tacoma Car Pros and Cheryl then replied on Sunday that the Tacoma store was so busy on Saturday that they did not have time to reply and once again bragged that they sell more Kia s then anybody else in the state. Maybe it just hit me wrong but who cares how many they sell? They don t get them cheaper and do not take care of the customer like Puyallup or Auburn does after the sale. They just want your hard earned money now and not give you the perks after the sale. When I asked about the free car wash I was told I would get a Brown Bear coupon when I brought the car in for service. Not sure what that means.

Here is the kicker, after all of my email exchanges on Saturday I get an email from the Sales Manager at Renton Kia staying we have not connected yet and wanted me to come in? I replied back saying Really . Their response then blamed it on an automated email that went out.

I could be wrong but it seems like Christina Jones works at both locations because I was reading reviews and she had some pretty bad ones on the Car Pros Tacoma site mentioning her by name. She even yelled at a customer across the showroom floor about taking away the free oil changes that was promised to him as part of the sale.

The good thing after all of this on Saturday I gave up on the online shopping and just drove down to the BMW Dealership in Fife and got me a new X3 and had a great experience there.

To sum it up stay away from Car Pros who claims according to their Advertising is Leading The Way . Maybe the way they treat customers is why they no longer own the big Jeep Dealership in Renton, the Nissan Store in Burien, or the Hyundai store in Seattle no more. The other brands do not allow customers to be treated this way.
