Ashley Hansen Review of Blackfoot Motorsports

In March I bought a 2019 Triumph Tiger 1200 from Dave B (no longer there) and must say that it was an wonderful experience to deal with Dave, the only reason they even get 1 star. I picked the bike up at the end of May to ride back home (800 km away) and north of Fox Creek AB a damn deer ran into the side of me. So after the accident I tried 4 different times in June and July to contact Blackfoot but no one ever replied to me (as I found out Dave had left the company).
Finally in Aug I was able to make an appointment to bring the bike back for an inspection to see what parts I needed for repairs. I figured $5000-7000 in damages, headlight, rad, tank plastics and a few other items. I asked the dealership to call me when they were done with the inspection so that I could leave the city fairly early as I would have to drive all day back north. So the next day I arrived at noon and they tell me $24,000+ in damages. As they listed items like foot pegs, the front wheel assy and other items which were just fine but just had a bit of paint missing due to road rash I then asked if the frame was listed which the service writer said yes. I asked for them to show me where the damage to the frame was and they couldn't show me damage on the frame. So they wrote my bike off basically hoping that I would go and talk to a salesperson I guess.
I no longer trust this dealership and will be informing Triumph about their actions. They were very happy to take my money for the bike but after that, nothing but disappointment with this dealership.
**UPDATE** A Service Manager did contact me after the google review to see if the relationship could be mended. After reading the Owner's reply I don't know why they keep thinking that insurance was involved with this as I repeatedly told them that I was covering the cost of repairs since insurance wasn't. Even after a 38 minute phone conversation with a Service Manager they still don't listen to what you tell them I guess.
