It must have been excellent to be a memory that has remained with me ever since September 1965 !!
Moved to Honolulu from Oregon at that time as my father was to be a professor at the university of Hawaii.
Upon arriving at the airport we were taken by our host to the Royal Hawaiian for dinner. What a memory - in such a plush restaurant we were served Mai Mai, French fries and peas.
