The inpatient doctors are a joke. The doctor wanted to discharge me when my throat was extremely swollen and I couldn't drink water or eat. He wanted to give me diclofenac since I am chronically ill and have contraindicated NSAIDs as they can cause me to relapse. I told him that and he said "why?"
I explained to him and he left for an hour and came back and indicated ibuprofen. I thought it was charging me, since that's another NSAID. When I explained to him that it was also contraindicated and that it hurts me a lot, he said "good, but it's not as bad as diclofenac"
Ma'am, are you a gastroenterologist? Do you really want to bypass my gastroenterologist's directions simply because you want to get me off my back to go watch the game, no matter what that might do to me? I warned of my pathology as soon as I entered. There is no excuse for this.
What if, despite knowing my pathology, I did not know that I cannot use NSAIDs and their careless indication causes me a serious relapse? Who takes charge?
