I saw PA Catherine Thompson in the Cortland location. I arrived 10 minutes early to my 5:15 appointment, to which I had to wait patiently for about another 3 minutes to get checked in. The receptionist seemed confused that my appointment wasn t at 5pm, it was set for 5:15...I had to show her the reminder text. I sit down and wait quietly until 5:40! I waited for-ev-er. I finally get called and the nurse was very professional and courteous, she did a good job. PA Thompson comes in and has no idea why I m there, no knowledge of my chart or of the what medication I m there to have this follow up appointment for. I also had a first time procedure performed by PA Thompson, she did not explain or make clear what to expect prior to the procedure or offer an estimated healing time afterwards. She was kind of snotty honestly after the procedure, I told her I d never had that procedure done before and didn t know what to expect .
I was impacted greatly by PA Thompson because -1 not offering an apology for keeping me waiting so long. If you are going to ask me to arrive 10 minutes early for my appointment then I expect you to honor my appointment time! And -2 lack of PA Thompson s knowledge on my patient history and lack of genuine caring. I won t schedule another appointment with her.
