We we're visiting Washington DC over the 4th of July weekend.although all the Smithsonian museums are free it was so incredibly crowded it was almost impossible to enjoy those museums. It cost my family about $80 to go to the national geographic museum to see the queens of Egypt and the mummies 3D movie but it was totally worth it! The museum is absolutely gorgeous the exhibit was fantastic the movie it was a great the atmosphere was cool and quiet it was not overcrowded. I would definitely attend this museum again when in the Washington DC area and recommend the queens of Egypt exhibit to anyone who is interested in egyptology.I think this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a lot of people that don't travel overseas to see actual mummies and artifacts of Egyptian tombs.
