Our son did well here (he went in due to his autism), and he's been out for four months now. He made great progress within the treatment center, and, since he was discharged from the treatment center, he has noticeably gotten better at home, at school, and in handling various situations in his life. Part of doing well at the treatment center and at home is for your kid to have a lot of support from his family. This is so he/she knows they are loved since your positive reinforcement is a means of you doing your part to help them. Also, a supportive family will reinforce what the treatment center teaches so he/she can make favorable progress, and, when applied, the same support system will help your kid's school help your kid. Autism is a tricky, frustrating, and confusing thing; even more so for your child. We have learned that prayer, patience, outside support, and positive repetitive habits help a child with autism.
