I had cancer treatment coordinated through SFGH and given at SFGH and UCSF Hospitals. I was not admitted to SFGH until treatment was finished and serious side effects set in. When first admitted I had 24 hr nursing care at bedside. As i got a bit better I was moved to a ward one floor down- still with excellent nursing but not sitting right there.
I was quite far out of my mind and apparently extremely insulting to the excellent medical staff. I remember none of it. My treatment for severe burns and pain was life-saving and gentle despite my evil disposition. There was a high level of expertise and caring at all times.
