I took my 12 year old son to this store in order to verify some information found on-line concerning a coin he received in a proof set that he purchased. Like many people, he thought that he had a very valuable coin based on information from the internet. He has been a novice collector for a few years now and really enjoys the hobby. We had done some research about coin stores and, in general, we were not thrilled with some of the experiences other people have had in Houston at many similar type stores. We were wanting, needing and hoping for information which would solve the mystery but also increase and encourage my sons interest in coins. Well, we hit the jack pot. The gentlemen that assisted us took the time to assist in research, educate my son, show him around some of the counters and discuss the specifics of other coins, as well as gave him a book and loop to continue his interest. His coin was not worth what we thought or hoped, but the experience was. When we ever have a coin (or other collectables need...baseball cards, comic, etc), we will be back due to the time and energy they put into our visit. Way to go U.S. Coins and Jewelry!!!!!
