We decided to stay at The D this trip to Vegas. When I booked our room I paid the extra fee to get a panoramic view. We did have a panoramic view... of all the construction around the hotel and the mountains in the background. it wasn't as bad at night when you couldn't see all the cranes. HOWEVER, it had to be 2 of my worst nights sleep ever in Vegas. The beds were hard and as I was trying to get to sleep you could still hear all the bands on Fremont St. Then in the morning, you could hear all the beeping of the machinery from the construction and delivery trucks. So obviously there is little insulation in the windows. Then we went down early one morning to get some game play in. The table limits were still high from the night before. So when I asked the dealer when the limits would go down she said they normally are down by this time but because they had some players at the table next to use the limits wouldn't be lowered until they left. It was an OK experience but there are too many hotels in the area to continue to go back there.
