Ultimate hikes are a fantastic company. We had the most incredible experience on the Routeburn. There were spectacular views, enchanted forests and bird life and knowledgeable, relaxed, friendly, organised guides. We had delicious lunches and then at the end of each magnificent day a hot shower, wine and cheese and then 3 course dinner. The laundry facilities meant we had clean fresh clothes every day, and needed only really light packs. They worked so hard to get us on the track after floods and slips, so sad now to see the pandemic has shut them down again. It s fantastic companies like this we can t let disasters sink - I m booking another hike with them next year when this all blows over!
