I hired Exceptionaire to create an ecommerce site for my awards business. The difficulties i had were many. Although the owner is a great salesman i am left with a site that #1 - customers can not edit products if they are in the cart without losing them #2 - If you register your account your credit card does not work #3 - You can not add items 1 at a time to the cart and then continue. these problems are MASSIVE and have led us to replace the site. We were quoted at $12,000 and 2 months . It took 18 months and $16000 and plus we had to pay employees to populate the site. Even after this the site works for straight transactions but i still have my old site up that i designed (a novice ) for $500 that outperforms it...week in and week out. This company almost put me out of business and we have decided to replace the whole site after licking our wounds. I learned the most important thing when dealing with them is to provide a detailed scope of every function. Telling them and providing them with working examples of competitors was not enough. My site although very attractive is very user unfriendly. Owner is a nice man, but company execution was awful.
