Tomorrow I will be 41 years old. I'm visiting my sister right now and going through Google maps and like out of a story book or a memory locked away. .. I can remember this place. 23 years ago I was brought here by the state. How much I fought everyone and pulled my own strings until my counselor told me that my insurance is giving up on me, on my progress. She than told me something, something that plays like a old song in my head. She said " Cesar, you only have 2 options now. One is that you can live the rest of your life lying and cheating and doing everything that you normally do or you can do the other choice. It's hard and not normal for you and you will not like it. .. you can take the hard path and change".
My life has been a struggle and God only knows how many mistakes I've made. .. but I will forever be grateful for what she told me and I will always be on that path no matter how hard it has been for me. Thank you
