The tubing adventure was a really fun trip. The van ride from the headquarters to the tubing start point was bumpy, but with beautiful scenery. Our guide Nick stayed with us the whole time, and kept everyone talking during the van ride, which made the time fly by.

There were three guides with us during the tubing itself. One in front, one in back, and one in the middle singing and playing a ukulele (which was awesome). The water was cold, but most of your body is out of the water most of the time, and you get used to it pretty quickly. There were some points where the water moves fast, and felt like a river rapids ride at a theme park. The end was quite slow, more like a lazy river. Most of the ride was somewhere in-between. Over 50% of the time on the ride was spent going through the tunnels.

Afterward they served a build-your-own sandwich lunch, which was decent. Once we got in the vans, there was little to no time spent waiting around. Beside the beatiful scenery, I think what really made this trip awesome was that the tour guides all had a great (dry) sense of humor, including the guy playing the ukulele, who at some point started singing the Oompa Loompa song from Willy Wonka. :-)
