I wouldn t recommend Honda to anyone. Why buy a car from a company that is dishonest when there are so many other car manufacturers out there. If you buy a Honda with no issues I suppose you would be okay. But if there is anything wrong with the car they will act like a bunch of street thugs instead of taking responsibility.
I purchased a certified pre owned CRV and within 6 months it started to make a terrible grinding noise on startup. I took it to the dealer and had to fight to get the part replaced. A part called the VTC Actuator that distributes oil. They did finally change the part but in six months it was making the same noise. I took it back again and was told the part has an issue that they can t fix. They changed the part again and in six months it was making the noise again. At this point I called corporate because I was coming close to my warranty end. They were so extremely nasty. They told me there is no recall, no course of action for me, no extension on the part coverage and not even a list I can get on to find out when the updated part is created so I can pay out my pocket for it. Just like they didn t Manufacture the car at all. No responsibility. They told me that Honda has determined that the noise (which is created by the oil not being distributed to the engine correctly) is a normal function of the car . Shakeil in Customer Service also told me if I didn t like it I should get rid of the car. As if that is so easy with a car loan you have not paid off and a car with a defect!

All said and done, as a young widow raising her child alone, who bought a Honda because so many said they are reliable vehicles, I would have been better off saving my $19,000 and buying an older car from the side of the road. It would have had less issues and stress!
