Ramayana Ballet Purawisata is one of the tourist attractions in Yogyakarta. The show which tells about the true love of Rama and Shinta is an amazing combination of dedicated dancers for decades, beautiful costumes and the accompanying gamelan music into one stage.

Ramayana Ballet Purawisata has been presented in full story every night at 20.00 - 21.30 WIB since 1976. In 2001, Ramayana Ballet Purawisata has won the Guinness Book of Records (MURI) for its consistency in performing cultural performances for 29 years continuously. Consistency in maintaining the noble values of this culture continues, until this August 10 2016, Purawisata Ramayana Ballet has celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Currently, the Ramayana Ballet is being performed in an amphitheater with a capacity of 600 seats. The semi-open concept of this amphitheater provides comfort for tourists who will watch the Ramayana Ballet show.
