I've been buying gear mail order/online since the early 90's. I started dealing with Sweetwater about 18 months ago and my experiences have been very good. Josh Estock works his tail off to treat me well and fix me up with whatever I need, be it $20 worth of strings or a $3000 Les Paul. I made the 2 1/2 hour trip on my most recent higher dollar purchase after a few swapped emails, and Josh had the small handful of specific guitars I was considering, not just the model, but the exact guitar down to the serial number, pulled and waiting on my arrival. I brought my own amp, plugged in, and spent a couple of hours playing between those, and a few in the showroom. No pressure, no song and dance, just what service should be. Josh even came down and dealt with me personally, though he isn't a floor associate, as well as giving me a tour of the facility. When I settled on the new acquisition, he took good care of me, both on expediting the transaction, and on price. I cannot say enough good things. The one issue I had with a defective amp was handled immediately and with no static, exactly as it should be. Sweetwater is THE gold standard for customer service, and that is not only how it should be, but in a marketplace where most big retailers could give a damn about taking care of the customer once dollars have changed hands. I will continue to be a regular customer as long this type of personalized service continues.
