The hotel's "system was down" for the entire lengt...

The hotel's "system was down" for the entire length of our 2 night stay, which meant we couldn't connect to the wifi at all. As well as an annoying and somewhat lengthy check in process when we arrived, and a second time when adding another night to our stay. The outside area of the hotel, lobby, and parking lots looked great. Everything was very clean and well kept. The room was very spacious and nice for the most part. I loved that there was a couch. However, there were a couple bugs in the room. Which is a huge pet peeve and major gross out factor for me. Not wanting bugs in our room was one reason why we decided to stay in R.B. rather than Escondido, and why we chose a hotel that cost a bit more than other places we've stayed at before. I understand that it might be due to the weather and it's difficult to keep them out, but a dead mosquito on the pillow upon arrival and a couple silver fish (bugs) in the bathroom the first time I used it, made me anxious during the rest of my time staying there because I figured there would definitely be more. I killed a couple more mosquitos and/or gnats flying around the room, which is when I saw all the cob/spider webs on the ceilings throughout the room. I hate to complain about so many things, but I was truly a bit disappointed. No complimentary breakfast due to the virus outbreak, which is understandable, but a downer still. Around 8am on Saturday morning there was a lot of noise going on outside our room. It seemed to be the maintenance men doing some sort of loud banging, moving of tools like ladders, all the while conversing with each other making little to no effort to speak minimally or at a quieter volume. Are they not aware people might still be sleeping? It went on from at least 8am until we left at 9:30am. It was quiet for the most part despite that, and housekeeping in the morning. The front desk staff were helpful and polite, which was lovely. It wasn't their fault the system was down. The fact that it wasn't working for over 24 hours is crazy to me. We should have been given some sort of small refund or complimentary something or other due to the fact that there was no wifi or breakfast, though. Had I not been running late, I would have mentioned some of these things to the front desk, but unfortunately I didn't have time.
