As if car buying wasn t stressful enough, I just received the WORST customer service, WORST experience from Audi Beverly Hills.
Saw a 2014 Q5 online for a reasonable price, decided to make an appointment with Hunter, since que answered my original inquiry. His assistant Aaron confirmed the appointment yesterday morning. I specifically told Aaron I was driving from San Diego, which I also made aware to Hunter the first time we spoke.
My husband and I get there at 9:00am this morning, Hunter was not there. Amanda was nice enough to help us see the car we wanted and arranged a test drive with the help of Jarod.
While test driving I notice the mileage on the car was different from what was on their website.
Turns out the car I went to see sold the night before, allegedly. It didn t appear on their website nor inventory. Great! No heads up call before our 2 hr drive. Nothing. WOW! How disappointing, right? Keep reading...

We start talking numbers on this 2015 lower mileage car. Not good enough for us, so we start driving back to San Diego. 5 min later I get a call from Juan(sales supervisor) turn around, I got you a deal . Awesome(I thought)... well hold your horses.... but before you do that, let s start the financing process and congratulate you on your new vehicle and awesome deal. (A little sarcasm never hurts anyone) we fill out the form, wait a little, oops sign over here, wait some more. Here is the wire transfer info, wait a little more, here is the insurance info, I am already happy camper.

Once that was submitted, Juan comes over we re gonna save you some more money, the car you really came to see, is here. Weird, right?
I go see the car, but I m already hooked on the newer, lower mileage one.
To what I say, obviously, no thanks, I ll take the 2015 that you are already detailing for me
And this is what I get from Juan well, I can t sell you the 2015, because of blah blah and blah

WHAT???

At this point I am in awe, can not believe what I am hearing, how could this even happen? Is this even legal? Apparently, a that salesman s word is worth a big fat NOTHING. Oh! All that stuff you signed... nope. Never did I expect to be in this ugly situation and be lied to.

After going back and forth on how terrible this is, i ask to speak to his manager( 6 hrs now at this dealership, keep in mind our 2 hour drive from SD) wasted an entire day, literally.

Spoke to Sam(Sales Manager). Sam is aware of what happened and can not do much for us. The 2015 is not for sale and will not be selling at the price we were promised. Yeah, pretty shifty. Sam starts talking about 2014 and will discount $1000 from online price, we walked.

To all you car buyers out there, be careful, get the deal in writing before you think you re getting a deal to begin with.

By the way, never met Hunter.
