I recently ate here and I know this is during a pandemic but the entire experience is completely gone. I was told by the hostess I was not allowed to take off my mask until I ordered something other than water as I took off my mask to drink the water they put on my table. So how should I drink water? This is in direct conflict with the DC statute saying "actively drinking or eating" which EVERY other restaurant and bar I have frequented has understood (and I actually verified with the DC Dept of Public Health after this) this as wait til waiter is on your table. I am more than happy to do that however the condescending attitude I got from the hostess during these difficult times as well as the complete misinterpretation (I am educated in Epidemiology) of DC public health statutes. The food was pretty porous as well. The sandwich I ordered was soggy and overstuffed. As a recently relocated resident of Navy Yard I would not go back here anytime soon unless you are willing to drink water literally through your mask and have subpar food.
