I went in to purchase furniture for a new apartment on the 30th of August. When I was inquiring about estimated ship times, I was told that I could have my furniture by the 2nd of September. Great! So I place my purchase online. I get the white glove delivery service because I live on the 5th floor and don t want to have to shimmy the furniture in and out of an elevator by myself.

I then get a call that my furniture would be delivered in 2 weeks. First red flag but I had already placed the order and figured that it would be fine and that it would at least arrive before I had family visiting.

So 2 weeks go by and the delivery truck comes with 2 movers and they say that they need more people to get it to the 5th floor and that they need to go make a phone call. I THEN SEE THE DRIVERS DRIVING AWAY WITHOUT SAYING A WORD. I call the customer service line that says they would need 3 people to deliver on a floor that high. I explain that there is an elevator and it s not like they need to climb 5 flights of stairs. To which I am told the truck would be turning around. It never came. I have to call again to ask where my furniture is and they said it would be another week and a half for the rest of my furniture to be deliverEd. Unacceptable. I have elderly relatives visiting soon, have been sleeping on the floor, and have now taken a day off from work to get my furniture delivered.

After being on the phone with customer service for an hr and a half, I am told that there s nothing they can do and that it will come when it comes. So I wait. My elderly family sits on the floor while they re visiting.

When it finally arrives for the second time, there s only two people again. To which they say that they need to go make a phone call to have another person come out. Absolutely not. I know this game. So I hop on the truck and just start unloading my furniture myself. They eventually start to help and we get it loaded into the elevator. The guys seem genuinely upset that they had to do anything while I m helping put the furniture together. Keeping in mind that white glove delivery is over $300 and is supposed to be them delivering it, setting it up and putting it where you want it. When they leave there is packing material all over the floors of my apartment, the hallway, the elevator and trash dropped outside.

After all of this, I still don t have a table because it is out of stock and they won t give me the floor model. So while certainly less critical than the couch my grandparents couldn t sit on, I still don t have a table. They tell me it will be at least another 2 weeks before they can get the table out and that they refuse to discuss delivery compensation until the entire order is fulfilled.

So another 2 weeks go by and I now take my 3rd day off work to get the table. Again having to assist the gentlemen that were delivering. Mid-delivery one of the men gets a phone call and is absolutely losing his mind in the hallway on the phone to this person. He is screaming F-bombs left and right to the point that my neighbors were coming into the hall to make sure that everyone was okay and if a crazy person was in the building. While the man is throwing a tantrum, I help the other guy get the table into the apartment and set up.

So now that my order has been fulfilled over a month later, I call the customer service desk to get my delivery discounted to the price that regular shipping would have been given the amount of effort I had to put into this process. After waiting on hold for 25 minutes for a manager, I was told multiple times that the best they could do was a $25 gift card per order. Bob s is an absolute joke and I cannot underscore how much I would advise going literally anywhere else.
