We originally had Energy Air install a new AC unit, add a return vent to our master bedroom, air balance, and attic insulation. Our main complaint was our bedrooms remain hot, and that is the reason we had the air balance and extra return installed. When we had our unit serviced this year we asked them to look into this as our bedrooms temperature is at 76, when our thermostat is set to 72. Our living room is the coolest. When our scheduled time for the technician was 8-12, no technician showed. Apparently they were running behind, and they rescheduled me for another day. When the technician came out he said I needed my house to be air balanced, and the return vent we had installed doesn t really do anything. He quoted an air balance for $500. I proceeded to call the company and spoke with James on why we would spend $500 when we have had it air balanced before, it doesn t just change. He states since it s been a few years, nothing he can do but he would speak with his manager Sean. I waited 1 week for a return call, no one called me back. I called back for James, left him a message. Still 4 days later no return call. At this point I asked to be escalated to the manager Sean. I called every few days and finally after over 2 weeks the manager Sean called me back. I explained to him at this point, my main frustration was no return phone call. He states he is busy and in the field, and truly no empathy or care for his lack of response. Basically, he said his technician doesn t speak good English, and maybe he misused a word, but the technician spoke perfectly good English to me. Due to the time frame, they stated they will not fix the air balance unless we pay $500. I understand the time frame, but the main issue is: customer service, timely response, technicians showing up in scheduled time frame, and clear communication across their team about the service provided and if it was done correctly or not. When we first used energy air it had great customer service, but it seems like over the past few years that has changed.
