I feel our stay at makati shang was a bit better. However our stay at shang was still great overall.

The pool was awesome. They also have fitness activities free of charge at the gym, and they have rubber shoes to lend you in case you didn't bring one. They also have a list of items they can lend you for free (like Wii and playstation), but are in little quantities, so it is a first come first served thing. The Cubs and cubbies playroom lacked things to keep the kids amused and interested (on weekdays especially), although it looks pretty. The room we got had a superb super king size bed, but no tub. The flat screen TV had a slightly bad reception, the complimentary instant coffee could be better. The location is top notch, since it is directly connected to shangrila mall and a few steps away from sm megamall.
