I wish I could say this was a great experience but...

I wish I could say this was a great experience but I think it just depends the adoption counselor assigned to your location. After not hearing from anyone after completing the application along with the payment I called the main number. My husband and I spoke with Mary a couple of times. She was awesome. She had our area counselor get in touch with us. We spoke on a Monday and she said she had been busy with work, but also had decided to keep the dog we were interested in anyway. She said she would call on Friday to set up an appointment for Saturday. She was also going to bring the dog we couldn t have with her....lol. We never received a call on Friday. She did call Saturday. By then she had lost
credibility with us. Would she show up on Saturday or process our paperwork timely? We decided to work with another rescue. While I can appreciate the fact that they are volunteers, we all have lives and commitments as well. How much time does a phone call take? I have read the positive reviews and I m truly happy for those great outcomes.
