Louis' did not build anything small. Gardens are huge and beautiful. Find the map and schedule of the fountains, especially by the mirror pool, where the fountain is synchronized to the music. The palace is over the top in the best way. I wish to have seen it with royals and gentry in attendance. A must see if you are ever in Paris. Hint: buy passport in advance with timed entrance time and avoid 1 hour wait; see the gardens first and avoid some of the crowd.
