The perfect shopping experience for the fictional consumer..
Awful. Very little pottery, what they do have is urban Garden Nursery prices at least. A mix of Chinese crap and boutique wrapped " why do I want this" $$$ junk. The food section? Really? Potatoes chips? Looks like it has been sitting ...
Not crazy about the remodel but time never stands still in that sense. You can still find some great deals if you take the time to look. I always walk away with a few buys. All in all it s a nice relaxing walk around. In a nice clean upkept atmosphere. I recommend to put this place on your itinerar...
I started going to the original Williamsburg Pottery over 30 years ago and loved it. What is there is a major disappointment to those of us who know how it use to be. Never stop there anymore and I'm in Williamsburg at least monthly.
Love the Pottery shop but it seems there were more choices before they moved into the new buildings. It's still fun to go through and check out all the fun stuff. It's still a must see if you are in Williamsburg
40 years later and my how times have changed. the old barn was funky and cool and always a mess but great fun. this new version is thoroughly modern and shiny and reeks of big investment. we found some things for our garden back home but the fun of shopping has gone with the wind
Almost nothing here anymore. I miss the days of the old pottery. There were actually affordable crafts, unique items, and things I would WANT to buy. It was also better organized. This store makes me dizzy trying to find anything.
I enjoyed my visit there. Not sure why it was not busy because I thought the items there were reasonably priced. Place was clean and the workers there greeted me when I came in and another asked me if I needed any help. I would come again on my next visit to town!
So much choice. A fun place to pick up some cool and different things. I was pleasantly surprised to see high quality food items from my Great State of Maine. Try anything from Stonewall Kitchens, you'll love the quality.
Less selection than the old pottery and prices at the old pottery were much better. Very disappointed to find out that the mat board cutter is broken and not likely to be repaired. I will be taking my framing elsewhere now.
Was too big of a space without having more items to buy. The prices were a bit higher than I thought they should have been for the type of place it was.
Sad Ghosttown of it's heyday. Shelves are Empty, repetitive stock, apathetic, rude employees. Very sad. We visit here several times a year, hoping for some life or resurgence....always disappointed...but the fond memories of bygone days across the tracks will keep us coming back...until they shu...
What a disappointment... the old store had so much more character and the factory tour was great. It appears that they are trying to be an upscale Jungle Jim's International Market in Columbus, OH or West Point Market in Akron, OH. Too bad they carry cheap stuff now.
This place is definitely not what it used to be it made real nice buildings out the front and everything but they don't have nearly the amount of stuff that they had in the 70s and 80s it's sad. This place probably won't be around much longer
Great prices for plants, especially succulents and other indoor plants. Less impressed with the prices of pots and planters, and they still do not sell soil. Staff are friendly and helpful.
We shop here every year at Christmas time and always seem to find something new. Friendly people who inform us of items that are on sale even when we don't realize it, which is a bonus when we get to the register.
We went here while on vacation over Christmas, and was extremely disappointed with the entire place. I'd been there about 15 years before, and loved it. Not now !!! It used to be in a large warehouse-type structure, and a really cool place to go into. NOW, the goods are separated into their own ...
They do not make pottery any more. The pottery has been outsourced to china. The store is just stuff you could find anywhere, like walmart. Very, very disappointing. I think the name of the store needs to be changed and local tourist and convention places need to take this off of the local attractio...
The old pottery across the railroad tracks was the best it was more to choose from and it attracted a lot of people. They use to have bus loads of people from everywhere to shop there. The new building is nice but its pretty much boring nothing exciting like the old one was.
Too much merchandise. Hard to look at everything. Prices are average. Some good deals. Kinda out of the way. Not near any touristy areas. I would say go and check it out if you've never been.
I too loved the old pottery from years ago.. My husband and I went to Williams burg this past week to see the NEW pottery. Big disappointment. We got concerned when we saw the empty parking lot. I love candles and was excited to see the new candle section.. You must be kidding me. Sorry but it ...
It's a ghost town right now. Inventory was sparse at best. Staff seemed melancholy and depressed to be working. Not what it used to be. Hoping it will bounce back.
Newer buildings with very few people. We almost drove past it because it was not what we were expecting. The 3 buildings have limited access, 1 door for entrance and exit, so parking was either at the start or at the end of the buildings and you walk back.
Skip it never going back not the same place it was before. Has been several years last time there. I guess when it became a little strip mall gone downhill.
Had a wonderful time at Williamsburg Pottery. Enjoyed the Food and Wine festival. Made several wine purchases too! Lots of great values and will go back soon.
The pottery used to be a fun, interesting place to pick up reasonably priced items. Now they seem to be trying to be an upscale shopping experience. Their selection is still large, but prices are higher, it's just not "the pottery" anymore. There were 5 or 6 cars in the parking lot, shops were empty...
Great looking buildings. All merchandise is spread out thru 3 buildings, but could be in 2 with plenty of room. It is on the same line as a Christmas tree shop
I grew up looking forward to vacations in Williamsburg so I could go to the pottery. Yes, the pottery is entirely different now, and yes, I miss the familiarity of the old dilapidated mixed matched buildings, but COME ON GUYS.... There is nothing that I saw that merited the "one star" reviews. I ju...
The original Williamsburg Pottery of thirty years ago had character and sold a lot of locally crafted items. Today, it s nothing more than a large strip mall selling items easily found elsewhere. My wife and I were disappointed to see the changes and won t be returning.
Went to twist balloons for their Asian festival. Great family fun and I enjoyed myself as well and have since I was a little girl. My family loves the upgrade and enjoys stopping in whenever they are in Williamsburg
