No reason to enroll in this school if you are an international student. UCLA Extension began to impose very high tuition fees on international students. With these inflated costs, students are better served attending a community college or university, whose diplomas have a lot more weight than a cer...
Went there to take a proctored exam. Cashier and proctor were really friendly. A staff saw me studying on the floor near an outlet and was really nice to me. Right across from an in n out! So overall pretty good.
Perform your language education at UCLA university campus. The school located on the sunset is like a wonderland. In cities where transportation will not be easy, dormitory accommodation is recommended. Thus, transportation to the school will be easier. Schools pay attention to the distance and area...
First, my transcript was missing the number of units for one of my classes, which took over a week to fix. Second, I ordered my transcript on 5/14 and it was mailed on 5/25. It took almost 10 days for someone to print out a transcript and mail it! That's insane!! Not to mention it cost me $15. LACCD...
Lecture class good, online class okay, some staff in the several office is good while many are below par like others mentioned. By the way, avoid David E French, the guy doesn't care and many dislike him...
I don't like this place at all. It's like half the employees don't want to be there, and they'll let you know it, and the other half is a bunch of uber passive aggressive corporate types. Yay.
UCLA Extension has shown themselves to be incredibly disappointing in how they support their students (they don't). With the recent administration ruling, which threatened international students' stay in the states, this institution has given students zero productive updates and guidelines. Nothing ...
Good instructors, but they need to be trained how to teach online. You simply can't tell students to buy the book, and then leave them on their own to learn. The only time the instructor responded was via email-- no online discussions, materials, or webinars. I'd give them five stars if they could o...
Love their writing program (film/TV). The teachers are so much more experienced - writers for the Last Ship, Toy Story 2, Blades of Glory, SNL - these were just a couple of my instructors. Whoever's recruiting for these guys, they're doing a phenomenal job.
I remember courses I was taking were around $295-375! Nowadays each course is close to $1000. And they discontinued some great certificate and professional programs.
Staff and administration here feel very entitled and snobby, plus not respectful of people who come here to inquire about certificates and courses. They all look like they don't want to work here, and they even whine, including the janitors / cleaning people. Instead of cleaning they just talk and t...
This review is for those who are new to this type of online learning , No videos , No lectures , Just the book and you and loads of homework and assignments , You Pass its solely on your own effort no teaching whatsoever . This is the closest you'll get to the UCLA undergraduate experience without being an actual UCLA undergrad student. Some of the courses offered are on the main campus but the professors are not as accomplished as tenured UCLA instructors that teach regular undergrad courses. Also, classes can be r...
My daughter is in middle school already looking for a collage, and she picked UCLA she been looking into this school for years planning everything and can't wait until she gets there. She hoping to get a scholarship for volleyball she one of the best in the our whole state.
Scam. Many classes are scam. Don't trust their extension. the admin in charge is incompetent . They tend to mess up alot. Classes are not prepared students to pass anything as they claimed. Expensive too . If you don't like course, get refund right away
The new web-site is sub par. Good luck if you have a Mac. Expensive classes with no technical backing. I am looking into other alternatives, like Stanford. Very disappointing!
International Student Office review only - TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. People here don't seem like they want to work here - some woman answers the phone everytime and everytime there are different answers to the same question. They take on average 3 weeks to process documents and are simply very v...
PROS: -Nearly all of courses are open enrollment, which makes it very easy to enroll. -There is a range of classes and many of them are offered both online and on campus. -The staff are very friendly and helpful. -The refunds department is very helpful. -Enrollment is easy to work with. -Certi...
Having the opportunity to go to UCLA Extension has already given me the blessing to learn from experienced professors, and also to acquire their academic background from the best universities in the country. It is a dream come true to be able to develop my critical thinking and to learn the American...
