When I'm visiting Boston Toro is a must. The food is fantastic! The service and ambience compliment the high standard of food. I can't get enough of this place.

Another gem in Beantown!! Great lively ambience with great food and great service! Great cocktails accompany the wide variety of tapas and plates based on Spanish food! Highly recommend!
I really liked this place, I love tapas places so I've been to a lot, and this one definitely stands out. I can't say the dishes were the best I've ever had, but I think the combined quality of each dish is what puts this place near the top.
Food and service always on point; every dish amazing!
In my opinion the best Tapas bar in Boston/Cambridge.
Creative cuisine with nice twists on tapas. Good portions and everything is always well prepared.
It's a bit pricey and they STILL don't take reservation (as of summer 2010) but the wait is worth it. Great ambiance, amazing food.
I miss ...
My favorite Spanish restaurant in Boston. Their corn is to die for! Friendly atmosphere, great drinks, and amazing food. If you want to truly enjoy your lunch/dinner, this is a must-visit place.
Best Restaurant in the City. Tapas rule this gem in the Southend. Do not be afraid to try various items on the menu. The Tongue Rocks!!!!
Amazing food and service! I can't stop talking about it.
Great food, friendly staff. Vegetarian friendly too in case anyone in the group is vegetarian. Likely to come back next time I am in Boston.
Came here for dinner . Ordered Loretta beer that was on the menu by oxbow brewing . The beer bottle was so warm that I had to ask for a glass with ice in it to drink the beer . The food was ok . There are much much better tapas places around .
Also not sure what a 3% wellness charge is on the bill ...
I'll just didn't have the best service. waitress was slow as molasses had an uncooked Burger had to send it back did not have enough time to have it reheated due to time restraints. I did have the corn and that was excellent but that's about it. overall not such a good experience, if you're hungry a...
Amazing food. Amazing Cocktails. Amazing wine list. Did I say amazing yet?!?
Love Toro - best, authentic Spanish food in Boston. Jamie is an amazing cook
Simply the best. You know it, I know it, we all know it.
This restaurant consistently serves up a wonderful dining experience. Perfect for a date night. Delicious tapas. Some dishes are oversalted to my taste but overall I always come away from a Toro dinner exceptionally happy. Servers are always educated about the menu and extremely helpful. Wine is del...
Peppers with goat cheese - perfect. Churros - perfect. Lamb ribs - perfect. Paella - great but just a bit too saucy for my liking. Potatoes - also great. Ambience - lovely with a kind staff.
Well. Because the first time was so good, I decided to invite friends for my bday brunch. I think this was a mistake. They are not prepared to accommodate large parties. I'm slightly disappointed and probably won't go back. I definitely wouldn't come w a party larger than four. They just don't have...
If you are Spanish and want to detoxify American food, it is a good place for tapas, tapas and Spanish chef rations. If you go at night, you will find it full of young people, with a lot of hip-hop and rap environment. If you are inside the store or at the bar, you will have to speak out loud.
One of my favorite spots to visit in the city for the atmosphere and food. We always order a few tapas and paella. Service has always been on point and appreciate the slight menu changes that keep us looking forward to our next visit. Management team and chefs are doing a great job!
5 of 5 STARS
Our friends tried to drag us to this place for the past 6 months, but we always got to the terrible queues.
But a miracle happened and here we are. After six months of expectations and anticipation, we got into this paradise. My first impressions - mmm, this is something unusual, ...
corn with the cheezy sauce. need i say more. amazing.
AMAZING! Four of us dined at Toro New Year's Eve for dinner. Great sharing small plates, trying different flavors and foods. And then, we shared the Paella!!! Out of this world! The service was probably the best I have ever experienced. This was a packed New Year's Eve lively restaurant and I felt l...
Don't really like Tapas, but this place was very tasty
Absolutely delicious tapas, every single dish we had was fantastic. Highly recommended. One star off for the atmosphere on a saturday night. The patrons of toro were clearly not a young crowd (average age was probably mid 30s) especially in the early evening hours, and there was ear splittingly loud...
Born a raised in Spain.
What a mistake. Mediocre food.
The chef know nothing about spanish food.
Excellent place if you know nothing about spanish food.
It is always crowded and the tapas are among the most expensive in town.
Oh boy! The food was excellent and the service was more than amazing. Definitely exceedes my expectations. Totally loved it!
The place is open until quite late so it's a great place to hang out and get a beer.
Although, if you're not down to get dirty, it'll be a bit of work out for the arms. ...
My favorite tapas restaurant in the world. I can't get enough of this place.
There must be a reason i didn't give 5 stars, but i must have missed it. Everything was excellent.
If you want to to try very tiny portions of different plates of very good food and down to spend that extra dollar it's great. Papa smurf would be full , I'd come back on a date, great amptonphere but if I'm hungry it's not going to be here , unless I want to impress a girl. If your hungry and wor...
The tapas was great. There's outdoor seating which is fantastic in the summer months. Cocktails were superb. Would recommend it in a heartbeat.
Pricey, but they have an interesting assortment of tapas. We tried beef and lamb tongue. I would recommended it for a light meal. Each entree is around 12-15 and they are small portions.
Fantastic spot in the South End with outdoor seating area. Best to get a few tapas to split among your group, that way you get a taste of everything. Lots of vegetarian options, a couple standouts were the corn and the patatas bravas (pieces of potato with aioli and tomato sauces). Toro doesn't take...
Food
This is my third time coming here and I would still only give it a 4 star. The reason being everything was good, but nothing was great or addictive. It doesn t encourage me to keep coming back.
Service
Because of COVID, they created outdoor seatings on the sidewalk and one thing to keep in...
Absolutely delicious food.
You have to try each items on the menu.
Different taste.
Visiting from NJ, good vibes here.
Good food, a cool interior and an awesome staff. Toro delivers on every level.
Great Food, Awesome atmosphere. Love the Galic shrimp! Highly recommended. We dine at this place atleast few times a year.
Really good. Cozy, cool place to be with great service.
One of my top spots for delicious spanish food. i love this place always quality food & service. next time i'll be back with my relatives. this place has a cool design. they have so many great reviews for a reason.
Had an incredible dining experience here. Everything we had was absolutely incredible.
The vibe here is fun and laid back. This place doesn't seem to take itself too seriously.
Delicious food on a great patio, with good service.
We were excited when we read other reviews but were disappointed when we waited for a table and then we're told very rudely that we were not going to be served with out of state licenses, with no effort to accommodate us despite having other electric documentation. It was a disappointing celebration...
Great food! Go for the short rib. The only negative is that it was quite expensive.
My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant since we first started dating and it s just fantastic. We just got the takeout multi course meal with wine deal from GILT City to use for our 4th anniversary dinner. There was a slight hiccup when I went to pickup but their professionalism just s...
Been to Barcelona Spain 3 times. This is one of the best tapas places in the city, although it's not traditional Spanish tapas. It is however delicious especially my last visit. The serrano ham was nutty, buttery and smooth. The whole bass was delicious as was the ribeye.
Very good food, excellent service both times I've been there, I really liked a good place to hang out with friends
Housesitting in the area, dropped by on reccomendation on a Tuesday evening. Great service and delicious food. Felt squished in our table -in kissing distance to table neighbours and forced to listen to loud conversations. Not for a peaceful romantic dinner. Fab for an energectic, fun stylish vibe. ...
Amazing. Great food, service, atmosphere, everything. Get the lamb, thank me later :)
Loved the atmosphere, it's very warm and inviting! We sat right at the bar and ordered a Sea Bass, which was delicious (as a bit of humour, I accidentally ate the eye). If you're in the south end, I would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Everything is good... seriously. From our duck appetizer to the fried chicken sandwich - it was suppperrrr yummy. Will definitely be back
Interesting take on tapas. Every dish was delicious. Service was fast and friendly.
Great place for a wide selection of tapas. Be sure to get there early (even before the place opens) or risk waiting a minimum of one hour.
Fabulous tapas restaurant! Their goat empanadas, bone marrow, and corn dishes are outstanding. A nice wine list as well. Well worth a visit.
Service was excellent and timely.
Good food, just way overpriced. The tapas are too small for a group to share, except for "patatas bravas", and too expensive for the size. The "croquetas, empanadas, boquerones" were good. The "pulpo a la gallega" is not worth it, you get more potatoes than pulpo.
We got the Gambas al Ajillo ($16) as a tapa - six, grilled to perfection shrimp. Despite being pricy, it was utterly delicious.Next we ordered the half size Paella Valenciana ($35) - it was the perfect amount for two people, the full sized one is more suited to at least 4-6 people. The paella had m...
It's a great spot for dinner with friends or drinks. It's a great tapas menu filled with a mix of delicious bites. Most of the dishes are meant to be eaten with bread-- bone marrow, anchovies, spreads, etc.... so it's great if you're sharing with people. It's not quite the menu for brunch. They open...
Paella was amazing! Everything else was so so and unremarkable.
From start to finish, the dinner at Toro was a miserable disappointment.
We were seated outdoors, since that was the only available seating after a 45 minute wait and we d been told that seating indoors would be another 30 to 45 minutes. It was cold, but the hostess promised that hot beverages wo...
I am comparing this place to other tapas and cocktail places and it is underwhelming. The food was ok but not delicious. It felt like something was missing from each plate, like it was put together clumsily. I left feeling I would have spent the money better somewhere else.
Toro Boston is by far the most fantastic place I had visited. Their environment as well as the food they served was very tasty. The guys were awesome. I would suggest someone the best time to go Toro Boston is at the night time. It s livelier at night when it s full with young people.
Excellent Spanish food in an intimate climate. Friend with me who spent a semester in Spain thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Good authentic taste, a bit pricey for tapas size, and sangria pitcher is tiny... easy parking
Their food is good a little pricey but worth it. Has a nice ambience.
One of my favorite spots to splurge! Everything is lick-your-plate delicious!
Food and cocktails are good. But order wisely or your credit card will remember it.
I don't think you can go wrong with this menu! And the cocktails are absolutely on point. If you're in the mood to treat yourself with something unique this is absolutely the spot. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.
WOW!! We try tapas in every city that we visit and this spot is amazing. We actually ended up going twice in our short 4 night trip. We had two of the best, most friendly, knowledgeable waiters Javier and David. The food is exceptional and the short ribs literally melt in your mouth! Don't dare leav...
Rich, delicious food; kind, engaging staff; refreshing, creative drinks; cool atmosphere. Would recommend!
Excellent for tapas. Could be better ventilated. Expect a long wait if you want a table in rush hour
I have always loved their food and cocktails. They ve set up a beautiful back patio along with sidewalk seating during Covid and we felt safe here the whole time. The paella is to die for.
Not very tasty... a lot of people...the smoke is also very big
We had the aceitunas, erizos con caviar, lengua de cordero, and asado de huesos. Everything was prepared to perfection. Love the menu and the atmosphere. Service was great. Enjoyed this place more than other good tapas places in the area like the Barcelona. Looking forward to our next visit.
