This place is never open. Why post hours if you don t follow them. I used to love this place , but I am done going out of my way to find them not open.
Be patient.. you will be rewarded. Tim's a great luthier. We're lucky to have someone with this skill set available locally. Don't rush him.. he's in demand. Best thing to do is pick up one of the Eastmans to play while your baby is in for repairs!
Tim's is the best guitar shop in the city. He has custom built several custom guitars for me that are flawless. Tim has set up all of my guitars to play perfectly. From string changes to refinishing I know the job will always be done right at Tim's.

Nice people, when you can actually catch them open. Times on the door are more of an ish than actual hours. If you're driving an hour from out of town and trying to avoid big box store center call first.
I've had a number of small repairs with both guitars, tenor guitars and banjos. Tim has always been eager to help and does first rate work. He is definitely the guy to go to for both repairs and sales of guitars and all accessories. And really good prices too.
Not related to his guitar shop but he bought 4 downloadable codes from me on eBay and then scammed me by asking for a refund through PayPal. He is a scammer, beware.
Just visiting Baton Rouge and stopped in to look around. Tim is happy to help his customers. I bought a nice small body Ventura and had a great time with it while I was in Baton Rouge. I'd definitely recommend Tim to others I know.

I trusted Tim to work on a family heirloom of my late Uncle Jim chiek, a 1973 Hardtail Strat that needed a fret job. The strat plays better than I ever remember, and the aged maple fretboard was left in perfect condition. He even cleaned electronics and did a complete setup. Outstanding!!
I've been to Tim's 3 or 4 times now, and I consistently have a good experience. He doesn't get annoyed with questions and is happy to help.
