The Watersports Academy

I'm massively I to water sports and have visited centres all over the world. This place is one of the best run I have seen. The staff are super friendly and well trained, the equipment is well maintained and the prices are very fair. They have a cute little cafe where you can chill and the pro shop is not have bad either if you left your favourite rash vest at home. Would highly recommend a wakeboarding session with Hugh whose boat you can charter by the hour.

Great place for Watersports great staff very experienced and friendly the laid-back attitude

My wife and I had a 2 hour paddle boarding lesson and it was great. We were both beginners and our instructor Alice was extremely friendly and very professional and we had a fantastic time. We will definitely be going back for more and I highly recommend them for anyone looking to get out on the water for the first time.

Another fantastic time at the Water Sports Academy... this time for my 8yo to try paddle boarding.... only problem is she loved it so much she wants to do it again!! Thank you. .we look forward to seeing you again soon

Great team, great location and so many water toys to choose from. I have used the Windsurfing kit for that spare, precious, 2 hours away from work and kids and my 8 year old has greatly enjoyed the kids activity club. Highly recommended.

Such a great place to hire anything water related! Staff are super helpful and polite. However I wouldn't recommend wearing socks whilst hiring a SUP, as you will get tan lines on your feet...I learned this the hard way, I can't say I wasn't warned by one of the instructiors about this however.

Great location (best on Sandbanks) with access to harbour and beach side. The Academy is located next to the Sandbanks Hotel and where the sandbanks peninsula is at its thinnest, so walking between harbour and beach takes 1 minute. Great cafe and shop. Excellent lessons available. Highly recommended.

We had a simply awesome time on our charter - Dave our skipper was amazing. I haven't stopped grinning since we stepped aboard yesterday. Couldn't have been better in any way. I would highly recommend Dave and The Watersports Academy to anyone.

Had a fun morning having a lesson on paddle boards. Staff were friendly and helpful with all kit provided. The lesson was given with clear instructions. Would highly recommend these guys/gals. Thanks again for a fab time.

Had a great 2hr tour in the harbour area, well worth it for the experience of kayaking in the sea. Instructor was very knowledgeable of sea tide's and made you feel safe.

Amazing! Having walked in a complete Kite Surfing novice and walking out with a firm understanding of the basics by the end of the day. Thank you to Mark and the team for being extremely patient. Can't wait for day 2.

Great place to do watersports and the teaching there is great

Really enjoyed the experience, kite surfing lessons, easy going , no pressure lesson, instructor was relaxed and explained everything well. We'll be back.

Friendly place, easy to hire kyaks. All equipment needed was included, we had a lovely time!

I didn't go on the water but 28 Scouts had a whale of a time!

I very much enjoyed my time there, the instructers were very friendly and relaxed.
They provided me with good quality equipment were very knowledgable when showing me how to assemble and operate it.
Would highly recommend it if in the area and are interested in learning new and exciting watersports.

I've had a few windsurfing lessons here and the staff have always been brilliant. They couldn't help enough and I really improved in the handful of lessons I had. Just wish i could afford to go more often.

We ve just been paddle boarding for my parents 50th wedding anniversary! It s something that they ve wanted to do so my sister and I joined them. And what an utterly fabulous day we all had! Sooo much fun! Our instructor Ian was great. Really friendly and helpful but he also gave us enough space to do our own thing Too. Can t rate this company more! Everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful. A thoroughly fun day had by us all! Would recommend paddle boarding to everyone! Even my dad who is 80 in 2 weeks time Loved every minute. Very busy place set to expliot the unique location - good for any waterworks regardless of your skills

We had an hours paddle board lesson. The instructor was patient and well informed. We all had a great time.

Very disappointed with the whole experience and the customer service provided. I was supposed to have a private lesson with my friend but, unfortunately, given her skills the instructor spent the whole time with her.

I therefore kindly asked for a partial refund given I basically just rented the equipment and did not receive the private lesson as initially agreed.

We had to argue for 20 minutes as they wouldn't agree to provide a refund.

My experience was terrible as I was left alone and could have injured myself during the lesson and I had to fight with their employees to get them to agree that they did not hold their part of the deal when they agreed to provide a double lesson in the first place.

Highly disappointing experience and I would not reccommend.

We had a large group of 21 for a hen party! We went out on the yacht and speedboats! It couldn't have been more fun and James and the crew were really helpful! Food on board was great too. Couldn't have asked for a better time - Recommend this place 100%

We had a great experience, today, we rented 2 seater kayak, and spent 2 hours exploring Sandbanks area, paddled to Brownsea island. Great views.
Great service, very friendly atmosphere, we will definitely come back again and recommend others to do the same..

Excellent place to learn a water sport. Great atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. Didn't feel at all intimidated for being a beginner. Its always such a happy place with everyone enjoying themselves no matter what age..see you again soon! : )
