Nice small town bar/restaurant in town. Service was attentive and food & drinks were very good. Burgers and the giant pretzel were delicious!
Amtrack trains pass right by the back yard so when you're sitting there, you'll see/hear one pass every few minutes. Seems the yard is dog friendly as well. Someone had their fur baby with them when we were there.

The food was at best mediocre. But the atmosphere is worth going for. We were seated outside very close to the train tracks where the train passes by every so often at a steady speed. But one time it passes by at about a 100mph and almost knocked our drinks over!

It was impressive!!

Just don't go there. The food is bad but the customer service is worse. And on top of that the live music is so awful (really, really lame covers, and unbearable jazz) it drove me up the wall. They play stupidly loud as if to make you forget the food is just not that great, but you can't. There are so many other lovely eateries in Cold Spring with yummy food that don't come with such a miserable attitude, or such rubbish music. Try one of those instead!!!

Very nice patio seating and outside decor. I was quickly sat however Inside is poorly lit, patrons have difficulty reading the menu during the evening hours. My server, Rachel, was a sweetheart, answered every question, polite, personable, and attentive to the table. The online menu has not been updated to reflect the menu changes. Call before going to make sure your choices are being served . The calamari, i believe to be fresh frozen and oddly tastful considering the amount of extras it was mixed with. Nachos were typical bar fare. I ordered both the salmon and airplane chicken, both i were told are big sellers. From ordering to table took 37 minutes. The salmon was nice however served with an exaggerated amount of cream sauce overpowering the fish. The chicken was dry and an attempt to do something new, with a poultry dish. Overall i would recommend the depot if you were passing through the area or perhaps wanted a patio environment to enjoy a cocktail and typical bar food. I would suggest keeping it simple if you go, perhaps a burger.

Went here for lunch on a Sunday. They have really improved on their menu a lot since my last visit a year or so ago. Great service too. The corn and zucchini fritters were very tasty and the chicken torta was perfect. My husband enjoyed his steak sandwich as well. 5 stars! Worth stopping in! Restaurant was also very clean, so no worries about germs.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we enjoyed a pleasant evening and the venue was unquestionably one of the reasons for the strong celebration. The waiters participated in a gorgeous style, the food was appetizing and my guests were very glad. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. thanks very much.

This place is the rudest in the world, not to guest but to the entire neighborhood. Not only do they cause obnoxious traffic, and wondering guest into the road daily, but they decide to play music loud music all the way throughout the day until noise ordinance restriction times.
I called to see if the staff would ask musicians to keep it down and was only rudely told to stop complaining, but to also mind my own business. This restaurant is ruining the calm integrity of cold spring, with it's rude practices as well as consumers who walk blindly into moving traffic with no concern, and park where ever they like. I wish the business would just close down...

When we came back from the hike we stopped at this restaurant. After a while, we realized that it was too cold for us to sit outside. We asked for a place inside, the owner of the restaurant said it was cold 10 minutes ago too. It was very rude. I warn you against this place, you may encounter a very unprofessional approach to the client by the owner.

I went to the Depot last night to hear one of the longstanding Irish music sessions that formerly played at Guinan's years ago. I was quite saddened to hear that the new management has booted the musicians out. I've been looking forward to checking the music out since I moved to Cold Spring. We went for their last session which was pretty fabulous. It was great to see so many friends and make some new ones. The Portobello burger was sensational, and so were the fries. The ambiance is cozy and quaint (especially if you love trains zooming by). The service was also very good but they seemed a bit confused at times about where to deliver some orders. Sadly we won't be back for the Irish music but we'll be back again for the food someday.

My friends and I went here after talking to locals about wanting a good burger and boy, they weren't kidding about how delicious the burgers are. I had the classic Depot burger with bbq sauce and nearly died of happiness. The burger was good so perfectly and I never felt thirst as my glass was filled so quickly. The space is literally a Depot on the railroad and the decor leans into that with charming wood throughout.

I enjoyed how they turned a former train depot into a restaurant. Nice ambience and even during post Covid arrangements, we were seated fairly quickly although there was a line out front.
Food was pretty good. The service was excellent. If I'm in the area I'd come back.
PS up the block there's an ice cream parlor that was pretty good too. Go there for dessert.

Had lunch here today and will never be back. Not only did we wait almost an hour from the time we sat down until the food finally arrived, the two pear salads that we ordered had slimy pieces in the spring mix. The manager agreed to replace them, but insisted that the greens had come from a brand new bag that he had gone through himself. He asserted that the slimy appearance was just wilted lettuce from the hot salmon that had been placed on top. We waited another 15-20 minutes for the new salads to arrive (without salmon I might add). Attached to my first forkful was yet another slimy piece of lettuce. At that point I put my fork down, showed our waitress (who was very apologetic) and asked for the check. To our shock and surprise, the bill included $44 for both salads (along with charges for the sandwiches our daughters had ordered and enjoyed) and a 20% discount. There was no way I was going to pay this much for two uneaten salads. After having waited several more minutes, the manager finally reappeared with a new bill in hand minus the salads. However, he continued to insist that the bag of greens was fresh, that he had gone through it himself and had found only a few slimy pieces and that since it s a natural product it s to be expected. Excuse me?! I own a restaurant and would NEVER serve this quality of food or treat my customers in such a disrespectful, condescending manner, especially if I charged outrageous prices. (And by the way, the pear wasn t ripe. It looked like old slices of Granny Smith apple stuck around the side.)

First and last time at this restaurant. Drinks were wrong, appetizers were terrible. When meals came, one of us didn t even get our plate, as the waitress didn t even put in on the order. Even after all the mistakes and us not even eating 1/4 of the dishes, the manager did not even offer to compensate for the terrible food and service!
