Intimate theatre, good acoustics, decent sized pit and dressing rooms....an enjoyable experience from the audience and performer's perspectives. The shows the resident company puts on are consistently excellent.
A very good venue to watch a show with good discounts for students. Obviously the quality of shows varies, though even poorly written shows are well acted and produced.
Just saw Quixote neuvo at the theater. the place here never disappoint. But the other does his very best to bring different cultures. A few years ago was Asian-American and now it's Mexican-American. I love the pre and post-show discussions. I will continue to come to this day there for years to co...
The shows the Huntington put on are amazing. Every shows sits with me for some time while I work through complex emotions that the actors portrayed or I'll find myself chuckling over a joke days later.
I've seen several shows here and they've been fantastic - the scenery is very well done, there's been cool projection, and of course great acting. There's an under 35 discount too.
Absolutely love this theater! Not a bad seat in the house. (But parking is difficult. As a "single" theater goer, that discourages me from attending evening shows.)
I saw "Indecent," which was truly spectacular and a life-changing experience for me. it strikes me that every seat in the house is a good seat based on the way the stage is configured. It does not get better than this, and New englanders are so fortunate to be close by. It was an easy trip in by tra...
The theater was lovely and the seats were some of the biggest theater seats I have sat in in all of the Boston theaters I have visited. The Huntington Theater is also one of the smaller theaters. I loved looking at the beautiful blue and gold decor and tasteful chandeliers. The show I saw wasn't rea...
This is a beautiful theater building that's about to be closed for a couple of years while it's updated & upgraded. The productions here are consistently well mounted & well acted. Though somewhat pricey, this is easily the best, though not the most innovative, company in greater Boston.
"Sunday in the Park With George" last night was as good a production of this masterpiece as I've ever seen, save perhaps for the original (Mandy Patinkin in this role is a very hard act to follow).
To the car-centric reviewer who said "Parking is a pain": take the T! You are using the wrong tool ...
Very clever stagecraft, often having scenery rise from the floor. They even had stairs descending into the belly of a ship in the middle of the stage once.
I LOVE Huntington Theatre Company!!! They bringing meaning to art and the form of art and theatre! So far, I have seen 2 plays by this company. They are "Guess who is coming to Dinner" and "Ether Dome". I would have to say that I really, really, LOVE "Ether Dome"! It was such an awesome play and it ...
We enjoy our membership to the Huntington Theatre Company for many years. Both locations are next to great restaurants and bars. The shows are fantastic and well prices. Membership to this is the Best deal in Downtown Boston Theatre Scene !
Huntington Theatre is somewhat dated, but it is not too large and rather intimate. At the moment they play Romeo and Juliet in Shakespeare's language but in a modern setting. Think Dunkin Donuts coffee cups and baseball bats for weapons. The play is well acted and a pleasure to watch.
Tea at Five is featured at the Huntington Theatre Company until July 14. Go for it. Spectacular performance of Faye Dunaway portraying Katherine Hepburn.
Redesign old fashioned theater with engaging, hilarious, and compelling shows. The staff here is wonderful and helpful. And the cast they bring in for each of the shows are fantastic. This is a very good area to make a night out if you can
