Very neat place. Took the tour and it was awesome. The guide was great and told the stories and added the music also. Elvis, Johnny Cash and many others got their starts from Sun records. They had complete orginal studio and office there. Building was all orginal. Lots of instruments that was used by the musicians. Would recommend this highly.

A beautiful place I loved it was great we are from France
Awesome place to go visit, this place is a must see attraction in Memphis, just the feeling of being in such a historical building is an amazing vibe, for me just going once wasn t enough I will be taking any of my family that comes to visit here so they can experience this iconic treasure.
Friendly and helpful people. Little disappointed with selection of merchandise they have. Wife wanted a T-Shirt and the wasn't much to choose from.
One of the must see. But 14 is a lot for what it is.
Has significant features like photos of the artists and it's the mythical location where Elvis recorded his first albums. For all the people lile me who won't enter a mystical trance seeing the walls of Sun Studios, it"s just another crowded tourist spot. The building is cute, though.
Elvis fans and all Rick and rollers great place to soak up some incredible knowledge in history!
Becauses of the history. I'm a big music lover. Thank you for the memories every year we vome fown from Michigan last 3 years now.
I finally visited this world famous studio and I enjoyed it so much. I wanna go back someday and have my family with me
What a time warp, Passionate staff who set the scene very well. You can feel the souls of the greats who have recorded there.
This is a MUST see if your visiting Memphis! Lots of Rock-n-Roll history there! Loved seeing everything!
Anyone visiting Memphis should stop in and take the tour. The guide is very knowledgeable and entertaining. You'll be amazed at what you will learn.
Great tour - fun guide with some fabulous stories about the history - a must visit in Memphis
Great tour guide makes a small venue stand out. A piece of musical history.
Don't get me wrong, the tour is great and the tour guides are amazing. However, at the end I tried to buy a sign. It was croweded and I couldn't see the register, so I went up to some employees to ask them where I could check out. I was polite, said, "Excuse me" and waited for them to help me. They didn't listen and continued talking to each other. I said it again, and they looked at me, and then proceeded to talk to each other. Tour guides and tours themselves are great, but some employees are just rude.
My wife and I visited back in April, and it was so cool to be in a historic place where rock music got its start. It was raining the day we went, so it was packed so we couldn't get in for the full tour, but it was awesome to see anyways.
Awesome place to visit! A lot of music history. Tour guides are full of great information
Awesome place. We did not know that children under 5 were not permitted, but the history of this place permeates throughout.
Such a cool vibe....where it all started. So worth the visit!!!
This is one of the best guided tours I've been on. The tour guide was enthusiastic, very knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely love his job. Being in the space that some of the greats were in was a chilling experience.
What to say? The history of rock'n'roll, it all started here. For music lovers a must-see if you are in Memphis. Bello also the guided tour, with many curiosities and anecdotes. The shop and the attached cafe are also nice.
The guy that did our tour was so nice and knowledgeable. Enjoyable no doubt.
went to Sun Studios to have what we thought was just a self guide tour but how wrong we were it was a guided tour and a great tour to have. The guide was loud fun and knowledgable, made it all worth while and was just fun to be involved with. We saw all the history of the Studios and then went downstairs to see the room The Million Dollar Quartet recorded in and then to top it all got to hold the microphone Elvis recorded on. great tour great guide so go and do it,if you miss it you ll be sorry 10/10
Talk about time travel! This is a MUST DO if you're in Memphis. Elvis' (and many others') first recording studio. The tour guide, Lahna, was so spunky, she definitely broke the ice and helped us get into the groove. Really interesting facts and chilling how much history is in such a low key studio. (It's the location for the Million Dollar Quartet photo.) I also really like the gift shop and wish I didn't only bring carry on. You need to buy tickets ahead of time but they have tons of tours daily. They still record at night
Must visit when in Memphis. The guided tour is superb
Went today with Lahna as our tour guide. It was exactly what we hoped it would be. And after we came from Graceland, which was a huge disappointment, we couldn't have been happier.
And Lahna was so good at her job, after the tour we almost paid to go again.
You will not be disappointed with this stop if you have any interest in music history.
Fantastic. Wish I spent more time there. Very friendly staff.
Our tour guide was fantastic! The whole experience was great because it was very interactive! Great exhibits
Some amazing things that shaped the foundations of any music we hear today originated from that place. You must absolutely stop here if you're in Memphis!!
WOW! This was such an awesome place! It s so worth the $14. Our tour guide, Graham, was very energetic and knowledgeable, as well as musically talented! He did a great job laying the groundwork of the Sun Studio story, building up to when Elvis and the other stars hit it big. Standing in the room where Johnny Cash, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, and so many other amazing musicians have recorded was just incredible. I got goosebumps more than once, and even a little teary eyed hearing the history of that little room. It was so neat standing where they stood. We had so much fun, we went back the next day for more photos and souvenirs. Definitely worth the time and money!
Life changing experience. I was in awe the entire time. For music history fans a must see. Exceptional chocolate milkshakes and cool tee shirts too.
Tour guide was good and entertaining. Good tour if you like the old days of sun studio.
Well worth a visit to this cool place staffed by friendly, helpful people. I was made to feel very welcome at the cafe, merchandise area, and on the tour.
so much history I loved this place learned so much got to see where legends played and sang
Brilliant tour with a really interesting tour guide on the 10.30am tour today. He really brought the place alive for us, loads of interesting facts and photo opportunities. Standing in the office then actual studio where the million dollar quartet performed. I definitely recommend to anyone who loves music and history, nice cafe and staff too, bought 4 t-shirts too.
I took the SUN Studio tour and it was amazing! I had the best time here, I absolutely love music and if you do too, this is a place you have to visit! Krista was our tour guide and she was so knowledgeable, I know a lot about rock and roll but I learned even more here!
It's a brilliant place to visit but I felt they let too many people in each tour group and you don't get enough time to fully look at and read the information on the exhibits.
We loved this place. We were skeptical if the ticket price was worth it but it was. Lot of history.
$24 for short tour of the place..wasn't my cup of tea ..instead spend $30 and enjoy the 90 minute mojo tour with live musician and tour guide. I spent a lot of fun money during our exploring Memphis..but this was the only tour that I felt was way overpriced..way, way. Rip off.. and I was the one that read the reviews and told our group that this was a must see. Even taking in the iconic history of the place..I still felt taken advantage of.
I can't believe it took all my life to get here. I'm a huge Elvis fan but never went the 7-8 miles to . It was the best tour I've ever been to at a museum and I've been to many. The tour guide was awesome.
An awesome visit. Make sure that you buy your Sun Records memorabilia/gifts here as they are much more expensive elesewhere in town! Our tour guide Rae was brilliant.
Great place to visit. Lots of history and a delightful tour guide!
A lot of history created at this place. We'll worth the visit.
best part of our trip to memphis, many of the great musicians got their start here, ive wanted to see this place since i was a youngster, i finally got to go and it was worth it, very in expensive tour very informative tour guide. i will definately do it again when im up that way.
This was with out a doubt the greatest thing I've ever been too. I have a degree in history so I go to lots of historical museum type things. This was the biggest wow thing I've ever did. Take the tour. Buy a tee shirt. I couldn't say better things about zack our tour guide. I would do this before I did Graceland
A great historical location. Do the tour and check out the gift shop.
Everyone should know the story and see the nostalgia of sun studios. The birth place of rock n roll. Awesome story to be heard and experienced.
The place where Elvis was first recorded. Tour guides were great!
What an amazing experience. Very informative and interactive
It was so interesting to see a place that played such a big part of early rock and roll and blues.
Great tour by Tiffany. Wonderful exhibits, even if you are not a serious music buff.
Amazing to visit where iconic artists like Elvis, BB King, Johnny Cash, etc. got their start. Everything in the studio is original, which is incredible!
Our tour guide Graham was very awesome and also very informative and funny. It was amazing to stand where all the famous musicians of the 50's got started including other artists such as Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins. It's like I could just feel the history
Destination for all rock and roll music fan. Music history comes alive. Never knew about Rocket88, until this visit.
Be sure to stop by. We didn't go on the tour, but it was still an awesome pit stop!
Looks just like it did when Elvis was there recording
Great tour with lots of history. Recommend getting there earlier rather than later. 40 people per tour and it lists about 35 minutes.
Tour was the perfect length. About 45 minutes which is about all I needed. Fun because the guide was very energetic and music and the ability to take photos in the studio was very cool. Parking is a little tricky and the tours Fill up fast. If you have to wait it s not too bad because there s a cute little food counter to hang out in
