Streamedge

It was an alternate selection to stay at Streamedge homestay sakleshpur as I changed the dates of my visit at Goldfinch hotel and the hotel was not available for those dates and I am glad it was not .
Streamedge is very well maintained with both wooden and traditional Mangalore style beautiful cottages and rooms. The resort is lavishly green and all the sport facilities are up, running and nicely maintained. There is a water stream that runs behind the cottages and the view from balcony plus soothing sound of stream water will make your day. The place can be interesting for bird lovers as many rare species could be see while your day will start with several singing peacocks around.
Sindhu and Shanoj were in touch throughout our stay and I watched them closely interacting with all visitors and taking care of their specific requirements.
Rajesh(Raju) the attendent is very helpful. He got us whatever we needed and also took us to near by tracks. He arranged our daily evening bonfire and snacks. This is one of the best thing I admire about the stay.
Ramesh ji and suma prepared yummy breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.
The resort has well maintained swings for kids, cricket, badminton, table tennis, archery, carrom, cycling for adults in addition to zipline and rope balancing activities. As for social distancing since the resort has limited residences at a time not more than 6-7 families will be present which helps avoid crowd both at recreational activities as well as at the restaurant.
I am looking forward to be back here much often for short and pleasant weekend stays.

If you want to get a pure natural oxygen, then this is the place one must visit.
One must taste Semiya with coconut+milk. This dish was delicious.

Amazing hospitality. Good location & Great service. All staff are so kind and helpful. Food tastes really well. There are enough activities within the homestay to spend time. It needs to be explored with your friends/family. Staff helps you to explore nearby places. Went during an off season but it was well worth the time and money. Thoroughly enjoyed with my cousins and highly recommend this place.

This is the best place to have fun. The stay is awesome and well maintained. There were multiple options for indoor and outdoor games. Food was great. Ppl are very nice and helping too.

Nice place, very quite ... But roads after a point are very narrow and in bad shape

We stayed here for 2 nights and it has been nothing short of a memorable trip for us. Very hospitable staff and the owner is also very accommodating. Clean rooms,delicious food, green surroundings , birds chirping made our stay totally worth every rupee. They took note of all out special requests and fulfilled. Mr Bharath, Rajesh, chotu and uncle are all very helpful.
Please do give this place a try.

Once you step into the resort, Throw the bags into room and go straight into Zip Line. Hospitality of this home stay was Awesome. Try their Pepper chicken and Fish Fry. Too Yummy. Don't Miss Mud Volley ball, Rain dance, Cycling. The rooms were neat and spacious. A separate Sit out along the stream and Food arranged over made a perfect night with Music. Kids have their enjoyment too with a maintained park and trampoline. Cricket, Carrom, Table Tennis and even Dart game made our stay enjoyable. Location and hill view was superb. Service was Exceptional.

Couldn't ask for a better weekend getaway from the city. Location, lodgings, meals, activities, it had everything you would need to spend a couple of days in Sakleshpur blissfully.The staff were especially helpful and accomodating. They even took care of our dog when we were away. The river just a few steps from our rooms provided a respite from the heat. And don't miss out on the guided tours - lots of sightseeing places a few kms away from this homestay. You literally couldn't ask for more.

It was an awesome experience in the lap of nature....feel at home feeling. The kids enjoyed a lot with so many outdoor activities....loved the zip line and the treks for sure. One more trip back again is guaranteed Food was very tasty with the limited options...simple local cuisines served by a very friendly staff. Enjoyed every bit of the stay.

Its a very beautiful place to stay with family or friends. The food is awesome. Rooms are very well maintained. All the staff members are very friendly. They have covered most of the activities both indoor and outdoor games. But one suggestion. If possible, please have one separate kitchen for vegetarians. It will be more value added. Its not exactly in Sakleshpur, its 30km after Sakleshpur. The roads, being a hilly area is pretty narrow and have lots if turns and climbs and declines. The stay is located 10km from nearest store/market. But the place feels untoched and have less human intervention. It feels natural. 6-8 km from the, fall is there, and at the same distance the group of nine hills is there. The place, scenes is amazing. Dont forget to bring raincoats and light warm clothes with you as it keeps raining there and gets colder at night. We were group of 18 people, we were alloted 2 bunkers. Bunkers are okay but bit overpriced. The price includes guide and food as well. Guide knows almost all the languages spoken around here and food is fine as well. They ll organise a bonefire at night and have varios small activities onsite like TT, rope walking, archery, etc. It has swings and other for children as well. Overall, its a must visit weekend outing if yu reside in Banglore. Take a car and visit. You ll love the place. It doesnt get crowded and has minimum human intervention to nature.

Place is good, has fun activities, kids play area and stream. Room is clean and good for family. Host Shanju and staff Srinivasan take care well, they arrange food based on family and kid needs. One suggestion is having TV, wifi will be good. Also can have more food option.

Nice place with decent amenities, food and recreation.

It's a great little homestay, with modest rooms and rich ambience. The location is a little difficult to access but is beautiful. Each room can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults and 1 child and live up to the expectations you can have about a homestay. The service here is absolutely exceptional, even though there is a small staff. There are many amenities available here such as table tennis, foosball, badminton, cricket, ziplining, raindance etc. The staff here are extremely friendly and welcoming and provide you with anything you ask for. There are a couple of spots to visit from here which are not too far off and are totally worth the drive. One last point to add here is that the food which they provide (breakfast, lunch and dinner) is scrumptious and a delight to eat (both veg and non veg options are available). Overall, I had a great experience here and I'd love to visit again. Totally worth the money and the effort to drive here :)

Streamedge is a quaint property set in the middle of paddy fields with a little Brook running through it. It's around half an hour from Sakhleshpur and not too far from the Planters club in Hanbal.

The property is well managed and the food is wholesome, tasty and and authentic coffee belt flavours

We we're lucky to meet Sindhu Shanoj who runs the property. There are a host of game options ranging from badminton to table tennis, carroms, archery, trekking, foosball etc.

The rooms are clean and there is no Air-conditioning but given the weather of the region you don't feel the need of it.

Tip...The fish dishes are fantastic.

We went to Streamedge Home Stay as a couple in the month of October and had a very good experience. The stay was amazing and all the activities were fun and enjoyable. Bonfire throughout the night was great experience and the river stream on the sides of the stay was awesome experience... Hospitality, rooms, food, and the staff were excellent. Special thanks to staff member Rajesh for helping throughout the stay.
I highly recommend Streamedge if you are visiting Sakleshpur with friends, family or couples.

Resort is very well maintained and located in nice place. This place will be too good during monsoon season. Rooms were neat. Food was ok. Rain dance and zipline was awesome. Zipline lands into a small stream behind the rooms. My kids enjoyed a lot. Evening and morning trekking was really nice. Rajesh who took us to trekking was very helpful and supportive. Other staffs were also very nice to us. We had nice time here.

We have visited this place on 8th June 2018 to 9th june 2018 and Find place is very naturally calm.Food was nice like home and indoor Activities was nice. We had very good time there.During our visit it was full off rain So did not get much chance for outdoor activity But over all experience was very nice.Mind will Be refreshed with connecting pure beauty of nature.

Very nice place. The resort is managed very well by Shanoj and his team. Lot of water activities lined up for the guests. Followed by barbeque and bonfire in the evening was worth it along with delicious food. Highly recommended place.

It was a pleasant stay... kids enjoyed all the activities also had fun in the stream running behind door...rooms very clean..on request they arranged for a private bonfire...food was good.. they don't have wide variety in non veg food..service was very good... Firstly the homestay located in ,was an amazing place with a beautiful view . It's one of the best place for the families to enjoy and have a wonderful time .

It was really a wonderful stay amidst the beautiful location with utmost comfort.
The staffs were really good in accepting all our requests gleefully. Food was so good, that we literally started hogging....:)
There are so many things to get your child engaged and even for adults lots of adventure activities.
Speaking about the rooms, it was really well maintained and hygiene.
There are karaoke nights and bonfires, which we enjoyed so much. Its more than a homestay.

A peaceful stay away from the city. The place was way better than expectations. Service from the people there are worth mentioning. Food, activities, entertainment - truly worth the price.

Where to start from, a very nice and pleasent stay away from the chaos of our daily routine..yummy and delicious native food to smack on.. Very spacoius, clean and neat rooms..best service by the staff(rajesh)...many outdoor and indoor activites for kids and adtuls.. A small river stream is a treat to eyes..Its a best getaway with family for a nice vaction..I would highly recommend everyone to visit streamedge and no regrets when you come here..

Very peaceful & relaxed atmosphere:
We found this homestay online and liked the look of it right away. This place is simply incredible and one cannot compare it with any other place. I travelled with my family of 6 and were given unbelievably personal attention by the owner Ms. Sindhu and her staff. She was easily accessible and provided adequate information related to the Home-Stay. My family along with the children enjoyed the stream next door. Rain dance and Mud volleyball were excellent. The Overall experience was so good, that any further trips to Sakhleshpur mean, Streamedge resort is the place to go

Had a pleasant experience at this homestay. Good food, friendly staff, beautiful view and lots of fun activities.

We went as a team of 7 couples and 6 kids and stayed there for 3 days. Food was awesome and kid friendly and they changed the menu everyday so that we didn't get bored. Hospitality was very nice. We enjoyed all the activities in the resort.

- All the activities mentioned in their site are there and good too (trekking, trampoline, indoor games, kids play area, rain dance, rope bridge, projector, water falls visit, night camp fire etc.). Has sufficient car parking space
- Rooms were neat and clean.
- Food : both veg and non veg items were good, mostly in Karnataka and North Indian styles

The stay was awesome and it is five stars.

Pros
1) No doubt, The service was awesome and top notch. Rajesh was fabulous in responding.
2) Response for the queries and changes
3) Rooms were spacious and would fit for a family.
4) Activities they offer are great and adventurous.
5) Resort was clean and camp fire at multiple places for each group/family is good.

Ok
1) Food was OK. (Definitely good compared to others but not great and there is definitely scope for improvement). The items were repeating and rice was half cooked on the first day. The cook responded really well and added couple of items in the buffet for kids (Well cooked). Chicken was hard and the fish quality was not good ( I know, I cant expect seer fish on a resort)

We went during a full house day and can understand the items they can offer on a house full day.

Cons
1) The location was not that great and the roads to reach the resort is not good.
2) I think, we were during a wrong season as the river water had less flow and stinky.
3) The water on the deluxe bath rooms were also stinky, Whereas the wooden cottage had good water.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort to others as they have a wonderful team in providing a great service with great attitude.

Streamedge Homestay is nestled between farmlands, giving it a serene atmosphere. the rooms are quite spacious and well kept... they can do a little better with regular cleaning. Also would request you to provide all out / good night to keep mosquitoes away.
there is a small stream at the backdrop of all the rooms. the activities include rope walk above the stream, zipline, trampoline, kids play area, fooseball, table tennis and many others...keeps you busy during the stay.
Coming to the food, would like mention about the chef, Mr. Ramesh, who took good care of our requirements. Since we wanted food with a north indian touch, he made sure we weren't disappointed. Food was delicious and his never say NO attitude was an icing on the cake!
Mr. Rajesh who managed everything else during our stay is also gem of a person, he kept running throughout the day ensuring all the guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay!
Both Rajesh and Ramesh deserve an applause... cheers!!!

It was nice experience! Activities are superb and the staff is very co operative. Stay was clean and well maintained. Games are good but need more variety of games and campire was awesome. Food was good And some more water activies is required. but overall the experience was the best.
