first experience at stir here in Charlotte and will hands down be back! our waitress Cassandra was amazing and took excellent care of us. killer food and amazing strawberry basil mimosas. can t wait to come back!

Modern. Outdoor patio is good. Bar service was slow sitting outside but will try them again.

After a long tiring day nothing made me happier than to go to stir and receive immaculate service. I sat outside on the beautiful patio and ate an incredible meal. My server Connor could not have offered me a better experience. 10/10 would recommend

Very messy. Took a while to get someone to even acknowledge us once we were seated. Food menu is all over the place... cocktails were pretty good though.

My friend spoke to the hostess on the phone right as we parked in the parking meter and told us there was no wait and to come in. No more than 5 minutes later we walked into the restaurant and the same lady based on her voice stated there was a 45 minutes wait and that we can eat at the bar, but there were plenty of empty tables were reserved . We asked why we couldn t sit there and she said well that s what happens when you reserve and it s for those people only. We didn t understand why she didn t just say that on the phone and she shrugged and watch us debate if we wanted to eat a the bar. We were very confused and the hostess seemed like she didn t care and basically said we can either eat here or not. This did not leave a great impression and actually made us concerned why she was rude about it. I m all about customer service and trying new places, but that IS NOT how you talk to people or provide options. I will not attempt to try this place again because of her lack of customer service and sympathy.

I loved it! The atmosphere was wonderful and our waitress was AWESOME. The only thing that I had a problem with was that there was not any simple foods. I'm not big on oysters or poke', so it made it a little difficult for me to find something to eat. We sat outside and enjoyed the live music that was across the street. All in all, we had a nice time.

I was suggested this place on Facebook and I absolutely love it! The food was great and the service was amazing. Brooke D. was a great server. She suggested one of the best dishes that I ve had during my visit from Charlotte. 10/10 would go again

I SO wish we had something similar in Athens georgia. This was incredibly good.

I was a little worried not having a reservation on a Saturday afternoon but we were able to order drinks from the bar and hangout next door until our table was ready. We Sat at the bar and Carolina was our server/Bartender....She was amazingggg!!! Very great service and of course the chicken and waffles and the ham omelet was great!

Let me start by saying this place has a great ambiance. The cocktails were amazing but took a bit to get to us. Starters/Shareables were so tasty we could have had more.

Then comes the entrees. 2 out of 5 of our entrees came out about 10 minutes before the rest. The flavors were outstanding, but the temperature was room temp at the hottest.

Finally the desserts. 2 options for desserts, both not appetizing at all.

I would come back for drinks and shareables. Maybe I will try having dinner again, but based on other reviews I have seen, the issue I had seems to be a regular occurrence.

The cerviche and lobster Mac and cheese was delicious. Our server, Connor, was very attentive and even explained how the machine that makes the ice spheres works, which was interesting. The music was great, the patio was nice and shaded, overall great atmosphere. I ve recommended Stir to my friends and definitely plan on coming back!

My sister and I went to stir last night for a few drinks. JB was our bartender and server and he is wonderful at what he does I am a martini drinker and they were perfect every time. After a few we decided to grab some food(another thing we weren t mad at). My sister had the fish tacos and I had the salmon. The fish tacos were wonderful my salmon however was over cooked I was unhappy. The manager Jason got wind of this and came to the rescue. Not only did he have an order of fish tacos sent out to me because I told him how great they were he had a salmon come out seared to perfection. It was medium well and full of flavor. We had such a great time we called a few of our girls and turned it into a girls night out. Stir will now be our regular spot. We are in love lol. Thanks soooo much JB and Jason for making our night memorable.would have taken pics but we are the food too fast lol

Great experience and food. Service was fantastic and our waiter Connor was extremely attentive and thoughtful, constantly checking on my wife Barbara and I. We will absolutely be back not just for the food, but the atmosphere and service (though I ll have to keep an eye out for Barb sliding Connor her phone number!;))

My friend and I had an AMAZING time! Our server Hannah was great and attentive! Maurice at the oyster bar was very friendly and engaging. Jason was also really nice and friendly. The overall amazing customer service made for a great dining experience!

Visited Stir last night for our anniversary dinner. We had an overall good experience from food to staff attentiveness.

Peruvian Ceviche was great, wish it was a little bigger but that is always the case with good ceviche. Our waitor was very knowledgeable and went to the kitchen multiple times to get clarity on what it would take to make a scallop dish gf and he then presented us with options upon return. Scallops turned out great over a bed of roasted root veggies. I had the mahi bowl which had too much sweet red chilli sauce on it. Don't get me wrong I like the sauce but it was just soaked. I mentioned it to the waitor and he noted that the pour can be "a bit heavy at times". GF flourless chocolate cake was really good. It had a latent spiciness to it which was surprising but a nice flavor blend.

We had 3 different drinks, all of which were full of flavor and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the Viva la Astral.

I would recommend Stir to others looking for a variety cocktails and a above average food with the guidance to avoid the mahi bowl.

The food was outstanding and our server, Connor, made the night unforgettable. Some of the best service I have ever had while eating out.

Jacob was incredible. He helped us with recommendations from start to finish. My fiance and I spent our date night here after hearing about Stir for weeks. We started with the truffle fries (get them), both got the impossible burger (our favorite so far in CLT), and ended with a French 75 and an Old Fashioned drink. Check this place out for sure!

So honestly we were super stoked to try stir for the first time tonight. Looking at the super lux drinks and flavors on the menu we had very high expectations. I feel like those expectations weren t met this evening and it s really sad. I ordered the old fashioned and the menu just has it listed as a regular old fashioned but when it arrived it was a dark, cloudy and syrupy beverage. You could hardly taste the bourbon and I feel like that s a major part of an old fashioned, accent the bourbon not run it over. We ordered two sets of oysters and the Rockefeller just lacked flavor. Usually Rockefeller s are decadent and rich and this was kind of just spinach and a shaved piece of parm over an oyster. We were expecting a nice rich Rockefeller or a nice crisp on top. Finally, my dates chicken Caprese was incredible, like really amazing, but my scallops came on a bed of veggies and this was all over the place. The flavor of the scallops and sauce were incredible but the vegetables were all cut to random sizes ranging from tiny pieces to inch sized pieces so the level of cooked was super inconsistent, a small piece would be super soft requiring no chewing while the larger pieces were basically raw carrots on the inside. The flavor was so perfect but the execution really missed its mark. I d love to try again and I see massive potential I just feel like this could be polished a bit.

Ryan was a fantastic server who provided excellent customer service for our first experience at Stir. The food was very good and we are pleased with our first visit. The atmosphere was also a plus. Excited to come back and try other menu items.

Food was delicious and the $5 mimosas were an added bonus. You also get a complimentary appetizer with brunch. Will definitely be eating here again.

First time visiting and ordered the seafood mac. SO good! I knew it was gonna be good because macaroni and seafood is always a great idea. Their drinks are also super tasty with plenty of the good stuff to make it worthwhile. Our server stayed on top of things all night. Will be back - probably tomorrow!

Had brunch party of 7 walk in. Everything tasted amazing, presentation was beautiful. However the service was lacking only in the waitress department... nothing bad it was just very long waits in between every single time we ordered and the table was left cluttered with so many cups and plates. I eventually cleared it all to one end. But again everything was absolutely amazing to eat, drink and smell:)

While the review below is still an accurate account, I've bumped the rating up to 3 stars. After seeing the initial review the GM sent a handwritten note with a professional apology. A mark of an operation committed to customer service.

Arrived at 5:45pm with reservations. Seated immediately and all staff members were wearing masks. Table service was incredibly slow at every point. Ordered cocktails, waiter told us 'we can make anything you want'. One person ordered a pina colada. Waiter came back 'Except that'.
Drinks took much too long particularly in light of a light Saturday night crowd.
Waiter was very slow to take meal orders. Food took over 30 minutes. 2 ordered scallops, one tuna bowl and one fillet mignon. Filet was cooked perfectly, and tuna bowl was very good. Both orders of scallops were so salty they were inedible. One ordered them a second time, one ordered a tuna bowl as a replacement.
The replacements came out quickly and were fine, although the scallops were still a little over salted.
Water refills were timely and frequent. Finished dishes were left to sit in front of us far too long, right up to the desert order.
Which also took a long time, and the wrong item was delivered.
The check was not brought out in a timely manner, and when it was, it had the two over salted orders of scallops on it. When the correct bill finally arrived (with an order of fries comped for all the errors) it was difficult to read through because of all the errors and adjustments.
This restaurant is striving to be one of the new hot spots. Our experience was a big disappointment. I will say, the waiter while either poorly trained or inexperienced, was very polite throughout.
Do Not Recommend.

STIR is now one of my top favorites. My waitress Cassandra was absolutely fantastic. Her hospitality and servitude was great. She treated my sisters and I well. My food was so delicious and fulling. I had their classic waffles from the Brunch menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant! Keep up the good work.

I enjoyed my first Stir experience. Jason Alford (manager) and Jacob (server) took very good care of my friend and I. We drive from from out of town to have the Stir experience. Jacob was extremely knowledgeable about ice and the intricate details of mixing drinks and Jacob was sure to make my first experience the best ever. He personally escorted me and made sure I exited the building safely (my shoes were high). I will make it my business to come to Charlotte, NC to have more Stir experiences. Thank you Jacob and Jason! I appreciate your five star hospitality!

Our first visit & wow everything was awesome! We enjoyed the ceviche, the crab bisque, the scallops & chopped salad! Topped it off with a birthday celebration of chocolate martinis, spot on!! Hannah our server, made our experience so enjoyable nothing was left on attended to. Cannot wait to visit again!!

Went for brunch with my boyfriend & the food was AMAZING. We tried the shrimp & grits & they were best shrimp & grits I ve had in charlotte, it was so flavorful & the perfect amount. The chicken & waffles were also very tasty. The waffles were not too big & bulky, lightly sweet and soft. The potatoes & chicken strips were seasoned very well.

I have been to stir one other time and at that moment I wouldn t have given it this many stars. Upon giving it a second chance, Johnny my waiter and Gus the oyster master made a heck of an impression on me! They really elevated the experience. Johnny had a wide range of food knowledge and both were very personable. I will be back and I m bringing friends!

Took 15 min just to get water , it wasn't busy. I had to stop someone who looked like management, just to get service. The fried green tomatoes and sangria were delicious , my husband enjoyed his fish tacos. The burger made my stomach hurt 3 bites in. I told the waitess well done with no mayo. Came back to me pink center and mayo all over it, yuck. I sent it back and she offered to bring me another , but by then my stomach was in turmoil. Definitely not ordering that again. Service was mediocre
