We're from NYC, where there used to be a Takashimaya on 5th Ave. We really miss the store, so we couldn't wait to visit the one in Ginza when we visited our daughter in Tokyo. It did not disappoint! Go to the diamond jewelry area! But best of all, the food! Every delicacy you can imagine and then some. Americans visiting . . . resist your native instinct to go to the gap. My favourite Japanese department store. All the usual brands you'd expect to find in an up-market department store plus a great food section. Everything you'd expect in a department store plus some beautiful interior design particularly on the ground floor and around the main entrance.
