We're from NYC, where there used to be a Takashimaya on 5th Ave. We really miss the store, so we couldn't wait to visit the one in Ginza when we visited our daughter in Tokyo. It did not disappoint! Everything so beautifully and artfully displayed. Unlike American stores, it's roomy, you can see everything, and it's easy to shop. The departments are something special. Go to the diamond jewelry area! But best of all, the food! Every delicacy you can imagine and then some. Americans visiting . . . resist your native instinct to go to the gap. You have to see this place, even if you don't buy anything
