Best food experience in France. Food, presentation and service were all excellent! I speak English and they were able to easily accommodate me. My wife is vegetarian and her dishes were delicious. We visited on a beautiful late August day and sat outside. The prettiest outdoor seating. The tables are shaded by stunning trees.

This is a must go place.

Traditional and very nice. Local restaurant and the card and not too long, which confirms the quality. Breakfast, enough, ss +, like all the hotels a bit overpriced, I mean all hotels.

After a superb road in the Dordogne valley, we arrive "in paradise" with a smiling welcome, baggage handling with a cart that commutes to the car park. A magnificent room with a view of the park, everything you need in the room and in the bathroom. A very nice calm swimming pool. Then comes the time for dinner, on the terrace (covid requires) - All dietary constraints have been taken into account and the menu takes place with a special mention of foie gras from Vincent Arnould. The wines are perfect. A real pleasure - The downside, the butler asks us, with tact and diplomacy, not to smoke, while we are on the terrace ... Breakfast is served on the terrace at the scheduled time, with everything we need. 'it is necessary in quantity and quality. It is a real moment of pleasure. Departure formalities and again the gesture that makes the difference: bottles of fresh water to make the journey.
You know what we'll be back.

Go for lunch in the summer and sit under an amazing canopy of trees while looking out at their beautiful gardens. The food is amazing and the service fantastic.

I went to the Vieux Logis for lunch, invited by a friend. Pleasantly surprised by the setting, in this small village perigord very authentic, a warm atmosphere. A very refined meal and a remarkable food-wine pairing. We then spent a little time in the smoking room with a small cigar, comfortably seated in leather chairs.

Extraordinary quality of the meal ALL truffle, we had not enjoyed such a meal for a long time.
Only downside, we were the last, the staff has "slopped" completely THE end of the meal. We were deprived of all sweet delicacies, shame !!!!!

It was very satisfying. I was very well welcomed at the hotel. They were there for all my basic needs and also when I had problems with my room. The restaurant is amazing (even though I only had breakfast).

Huge disappointment. Accustomed to dine regularly in this relay & castle, I notice that since the death of the former owner, the atmosphere has changed. Staff stressed or not enough trained, significant decline in standing. Be careful not to mix quantity and quality. For my part I will not come back.

So we booked in advance to try the wonderful looking degustation menu on the recommendation of a friend. It was so good that we ended up staying two nights in a lovely room, which in turn coincided with a village fete and antiques market. Three days providing the highlight of our holiday!

Fabulous dinner experience. Much more reasonable in price than expected

A little disappointed ...
The standard room is top notch. We were staying there one night and during dinner a cleaning lady came to tidy up and I didn't like it because we had just arrived and had openly unpacked all our things.
The dinner was very good but never ending! We arrived at 7.45pm and left at 11.30pm ... the servers were understaffed so our server was stressed out quite dry and rushed us when ordering, we didn't have time to ask a question. For a star ... He brought us a bottle of mineral water without giving us the choice with a simple carafe of water unlike the other tables. In addition when paying the next day they had made a mistake on the price of the menus to our detriment ...
The 25th breakfast was really disappointing. The buffet consisted of eggs, cold meats, breads, pastries, two dry cakes certainly made the day before and inedible, the juices were really not good, I reported it and had the answer "it depends on the quality of orange ". In short, for this price and this type of establishment I was really disappointed.
Not to mention the power cuts the next morning.
I have seen much better for less.

Always a pleasure to come back to this starred restaurant. Book in advance at one of the wonderful tables under linden arbor in front of the French garden and enjoy the menu "tapas" proposed only for lunch from Monday to Friday.
For 56 a head will not have to do anything but sit back and enjoy a delicious culinary journey consists according to seasonally and the chef's creativity. For the little ones, a 25 menu consisting of an appetizer, a dish and a dessert of your choice.

Incredible dining experience, all of our many courses excellent, I lost count, my wife thinks it was nine... and two and a half hours later, we were greatly satisfied. Staff were friendly and attentive, it's a must do, and we look forward to returning.

We only went to the restaurant so this note does not concern the hotel.
Overall, extremely disappointing experience: poor service (we were placed on a bad table at the start, forks served then taken again, glasses served then taken again, waiters' elbows in front of their heads during the service, several apprentices who were obviously not trained, etc ...) and a staff whose manners also leave something to be desired. You feel like you are at the local tavern. Then, at the level of the dishes: really bland, no creativity (appetizers with Harrys type sandwich bread ... we saw better), only the dessert was visually pleasant ... disappointing for menus over 100 . Almost no explanation on the dishes that were served to us. The restaurant does not deserve this Michelin star and I honestly do not understand how it got it.

Restaurant : Dinner on the terrace under the trees ... great spot. Food on the set menu generally excellent, although part of the veal was over-cooked. Service not as attentive as you expect for that kind of money. Very good, but not quite up to the one Michelin star on our visit.

Decent room and bathroom. Separate toilet area small shower, full tub. We had room 16, ground level across the road from the main building. The room was quiet, the a/c worked, it was ok.

A beautiful place. We enjoyed everything about the property including the room, service from people who really seem to care and the Bistro. The only reason it is not five stars is because the location (while centrally located in the Dordogne area) is not very close to any main town. So, we had to drive a lot.

Reputation assured. Professional and very friendly staff and to finish exquisite cuisine. To renew in a very close time.

We have lunch in the restaurant, cold welcome, the staff is young and not sufficiently trained. Very classic cuisine not very generous, a rustic sommelier. The garden is magnificent, that's the only positive point. Too expensive to appreciate only the view. certainly not deserve his star.
