I really appreciate that they let us Fire Fighters in for FREE!! This is the first salvage yard I've been too that's so organized. The computer locates several vehicles at once and gives you a print out of each cars location. Each aisle is labeled. As a father, I'm responsible keeping several cars running... couldn't do it so cost efficiently without Pull A Part!

They do not catalogue parts, just the vehicle. They also don't seem to catalogue the trim level or sub-model (which can be a big deal especially in 2-door vs 4-door trucks). Adding it to their catalogue would be a marked improvement. If there's only one or two you should go in expecting the part to be gone already. It is a junkyard after all. I was only able to get some of the mounting screws/plugs for the panel I needed and they didn't charge. Probably due to the $2 per person cover fee. Your mileage may vary, some cars were more picked apart than others.

Got in relatively quickly even when it was fairly busy. They tell you where on the lot the car(s) are (you can check ahead online), then the next counter inspects the tool box (no torches, etc.), charge you per person and you're in. Pull it apart yourself and then go back through the checkout. Went pretty fast.

Great place! Good prices I go there all the time but the website could use some work . The vin information page needs to be completely filled out all the time and not some of the time, or partially filled out. Would be nice to know what size engine, color and interior color of the vehicle is. I don't like driving up there and being a complete waste of time and gas.

While we love this place and give it 5 stars, it should be known that NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 is allowed on the yard. There is nothing that states this on the website and no signs when you get there, but they will be sure to let you know if you show up with a child. I hope this helps others before a trip is wasted.

I understand the cost cutting gained from not having employees pull parts for you, but they don't stop there. They don't help you at all. They don't know what's there, the cars aren't where they're supposed to be, it's a several acre, trenches gravel lot with no shade, service, or water. (There is a scarce port-a-john.) And beware, they accepted google pay when I paid to get in, but then after 5 gruelling hours on hot gravel, wouldn't accept google pay for what I wanted to buy- and on top of it all, they were rude to me about it. My day was spent in Hell for nothing. I'll never go back.ill tell everyone I know to avoid that place like the horror show it is.

I purchased almost 200$ worth pf parts to put together front end of my Montero sports, some of them I returned at this South Henrico Rd location. I was told that they put the money on my membership card, But when i went back 3 months later to get something else from Norcross location, they told me that there is no credit money on my card. THEY ARE THIEVES, STEEL MONEY FROM THOSE WHO COME TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. NOT ME AGAIN.

Staff was pretty incompetent when it came to how to price items correctly. Literally paid marker price for an item I could have just got off of Craigslist cheaper. Just chalking it up as a lesson learned. I won't be going back to this specific location but the other locations I've been to were pretty on target and knowledgeable.

This is going to be a lengthy review, so bear with me...

My wife and myself decided to sell her (totaled) car, and eventually decided that the most convenient (WRONG!) process for selling would be to go through Pull-a-Part.

While the corporate office was more than helpful, and gave us an almost fair price, the towing service that Pull-a-Part uses leaves....um...something to be desired.

After we had scheduled a pick up day with the corporate office, they generously decided to give us an hour s notice on the tow truck s arrival (the office typically gives a one day window for pick up, such as 8am to 5pm, much like those buffoonish cable/internet companies).

On the day we had scheduled the pickup, the tow truck driver gave us a call at about 3pm, to let us know he was coming to pick up the car. It was at this point that proceedings took a turn for the worse.

When we informed the driver we lived an hour away and would leave immediately, he was incredibly rude, and informed us that the office had never told him that we needed an hour advance notice. He bluntly told us he would not wait, and would not be making our pickup. We called corporate, who in turn told us the driver had called them and said that we lived over two hours away (a blatant lie!) and he wasn t waiting around. Needless to say (I had taken off work for the day; my wife is 5 months pregnant and wasn t comfortable going alone) this was not kosher with us.

After speaking with corporate and tersely explaining the situation, they agreed to set up a meeting for the next day at noon. When they informed the tow truck driver, he said if we were even a second late, he would leave, never to return.

Well, we eventually sold the car to a different buyer that night, and gave Pull-a-Part a few hours notice the next morning. Once the driver found out, he repeatedly called my wife, was ridiculously rude, and continued hounding is until I called him from work and told him to leave us alone. When I informed corporate that their driver was an enormous ass clown, they were completely unsurprised (shocking!), and told us that we were far from the first to complain.

We would recommend this service if this service didn t suck; thus, the review.

In closing/tl;dr: Pull-a-Part corporate office good, towing contractor very bad.
