Review of Pull-A-Part

This is going to be a lengthy review, so bear with me...

My wife and myself decided to sell her (totaled) car, and eventually decided that the most convenient (WRONG!) process for selling would be to go through Pull-a-Part.

While the corporate office was more than helpful, and gave us an almost fair price, the towing service that Pull-a-Part uses leaves....um...something to be desired.

After we had scheduled a pick up day with the corporate office, they generously decided to give us an hour s notice on the tow truck s arrival (the office typically gives a one day window for pick up, such as 8am to 5pm, much like those buffoonish cable/internet companies).

On the day we had scheduled the pickup, the tow truck driver gave us a call at about 3pm, to let us know he was coming to pick up the car. It was at this point that proceedings took a turn for the worse.

When we informed the driver we lived an hour away and would leave immediately, he was incredibly rude, and informed us that the office had never told him that we needed an hour advance notice. He bluntly told us he would not wait, and would not be making our pickup. We called corporate, who in turn told us the driver had called them and said that we lived over two hours away (a blatant lie!) and he wasn t waiting around. Needless to say (I had taken off work for the day; my wife is 5 months pregnant and wasn t comfortable going alone) this was not kosher with us.

After speaking with corporate and tersely explaining the situation, they agreed to set up a meeting for the next day at noon. When they informed the tow truck driver, he said if we were even a second late, he would leave, never to return.

Well, we eventually sold the car to a different buyer that night, and gave Pull-a-Part a few hours notice the next morning. Once the driver found out, he repeatedly called my wife, was ridiculously rude, and continued hounding is until I called him from work and told him to leave us alone. When I informed corporate that their driver was an enormous ass clown, they were completely unsurprised (shocking!), and told us that we were far from the first to complain.

We would recommend this service if this service didn t suck; thus, the review.

In closing/tl;dr: Pull-a-Part corporate office good, towing contractor very bad.
