After having some bad experiences with other lenders I was a bit hesitant to try Prospa, however I have been completely taken aback by the fantastic service! Oliver was so friendly and easy to go through the application with and was immediately approved. I couldn't be happier with the experience.

If your business is having loan issues with Prospa and you need extra support compared to what their front-line staff are offering, ask to speak with their Senior Collections Officer - they were able to help our business find a real and meaningful solution. It took a bit of negotiating, but they did come to the table with genuine help and I want to thank them for this support during this trying time. It is sincerely appreciated.

*** THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAIL (ITS THE DAILY FEES!!) ***

Prospa is out there boasting about their benevolent service to the SME sector and at the same time being deliberately dishonest about the real cost of their loan product. If you do have a Prospa loan then you might want to consider the following before taking out another loan/redraw:

* Prospa (and other Fintech lenders) usually communicate the cost of the loan as a 'Factor' which is the same as the total interest payable expressed as a percentage of principal borrowed. A 'Factor' doesn't include processing and Direct Debit fees which are usually negligible relative to the scheduled repayment.

* Prospa and its competitors incur a cost of approx. $1 for each Direct Debit they draw from a borrowers bank account. Most lenders pass that cost on to the borrower in the form of a Direct Debit fee of say $3 to $5.

* Prospa do pass this cost on but unfortunately they do so in a manner that is just unconscionable.. A Prospa loan of $200,000 over a 12 month term means 260 daily repayments to be processed, and each of those includes a $45 fee passed on to the borrower. How do you justify passing on a cost you incurred as $1 but billing the customer for 45 times that?

never ever think of getting a loan from this company. they will charge you future interest payment if you want to get out of the contract early. of course , it wasnt exlpained when signing

Absolutely would not recommend Prospa! If I had a chance to change things I would have NEVER taken a loan with them! Extreme not supporting and not understanding during these hard times for small business and in particular Hospitality business!

I ve been speaking with them since February with small to little success to actually work out a solution. They send sneaky offers where interest is increased without even telling you and charge us more than $100 a day of interest currently as we are obviously requesting our loan to be deferred!

I have not had any issues with other small lenders like Kikka and GetCapital and will highly recommend them instead of Prospa for anyone looking to take a small business loan!

Zero support to small businesses during this crisis.. I can't even talk to someone about placing my 2 last payments on hold. Companies like these are a disgrace.

Quick, simple and no hassle. Completely different service compared to other major lenders who, after all their advertising telling you how simple an application is and how much they can help you, don't seem to understand that you're applying for business assistance because you want to move forward in your business!! They don't help you at all, never get back to you when they say they will and in some cases don't even let you know what is happening with an application. Prospa - a breath of fresh air. Very poor service, 19 years in business and multiple businesses and because one of my businesses they won t give loans to that industry they won t help me with finance but for 2 years they have been sending me emails trying to get me to take out finance, all I needed was a small business loan to purchase another store out to make my business keep growing, wasted my time asking for bank statements and all details for a loan when they could off told me at the start they wasn t interested in helping me. Never defaulted on any loans and always paid off early.
I pay tax and am a legit business and not going broke or anything I m growing at a nice study pace each month. So will be taking my business else where. I never post negative feed back on other businesses but this service well it speaks for it self.

UPDATE AFTER THERE REPLY
Yes they did try to help, by getting me to lie on my application, they tried to use another one of my businesses to approve the loan saying funds are for that business, when the funds are actually being used for my adult stores, they told me just to use it but we will put it in the other business name. As prospa is like a lot of other finance companies still discriminating against adult stores, catch up with the times guys. Will be forwarding this on with the action that is going a head already for discrimination against adult stores and there staff.
Yes I know I got the approval on the other business but I want the finance against the correct business that is using the funds and they won t approve the loan if I say the adult store, but sorry Prospa I will not lie for you guys to look good and say you helped when you actually didn t. Don t need the funds that bad.
And your interest rate is not as great as you make out to be. Do the interest sums your self over the term not the month interest rate they give you and then do your shopping around, Businessfuel will be keeping all my business as they don t discriminate against my business at all.
