I have visited this vineyard 3 times and I gotta tell ya, don t waste your time. The staff is mediocre at best. I won t bore you with the details, but they ignored both my wife and me as we stood at the counter for 15 minutes waiting to have a tasting. I thought it might be because they didn t see me, 6'2'' 285 guy, right. I asked for assistance when I was ignored, I was greeted with sarcasm and apathy. We will never be back. But don t worry my wife and myself visit EVERY winery in the state of Connecticut EVERY year and will convey our experience to anyone that cares to listen. We all know how the vineyard crowd likes to chat, and might not want to make such a long drive for sub-par service. I don t expect nor care if I get a call from Gloria, her attitude is half the staffs problem.

I held a surprise birthday party for my sister at Priam this past weekend and the venue was amazing. Amylu was amazing to work with. Planning an event during COVID was a bit stressful and she was able to help me with anything that came up. Thank you to Priam and Amylu for everything!

Went for the first and the last time last weekend. My husband and I were going back to our house after a long weekend and I wanted to go to a winery before I arrived home. I really wish I had not chosen this place. As soon as we walked in their tasting room everybody looked at us like we were aliens. The wine servers did not even greet us, no good afternoon, no I'll be right with you...nothing. They looked at us and kept serving others. We felt so uncomfortable. It was horrible to feel that we were dismissed after just walking in. Both my husband and I felt the same. I really do not want to think that it was because I look very Puerto Rican or because I was in shorts (which I looked and there was no sign that said we couldn't be there in shorts), but that is exactly how it felt like. Never going back. My friends and I go to wineries almost every weekend, this will not be one of our choices.

Recently I visited this vineyard and was delighted at how beautiful the setting is. We took a party of four to celebrate a recent business success to this place and had a wonderful time. The owners introduced themselves to us and their staff was very helpful in their tasting room. I loved he place. The fact they do not let people who have had a bit too much to drink makes it more appealing as a safe place. I have been to other wineries on both the east and west coast and have seen the results of large groups of people with one or two people that have had too much. I recommend Priam Vineyards for anyone that wants a very delightful experience, with outstanding wines.

Great time. They have picnic tables and indoor seating as well as bring your own chairs outside. We had a great help with Christopher picking wines my wife really liked and she normally hates wine. He said trust me, we did and he didn't disappoint, x2! These were both sweet wines we enjoyed and they have all Vegan wines on their menu which is a bonus! They have varying food trucks which was bears in windsor when we went today (always amazing btw). Def a worthwhile trip for sure!

Went to comedy show on 25 July had a good time.
When purchasing wine I was asking for military discount. The owner told me he did not have time to give me a discount. Considering I am a U.S. Navy veteran for 20 years of Honorable service. That served and protected our freedoms we have. Telling me we do not have time to give me a discount is totally wrong and no regard to sacrifices we went thru to protect your freedom. Very disappointed in this comment toward a veteran

This is our favorite Connecticut vineyard, out of all 25 on the wine trail. They consistently make the best wine and they have no weak spots among their offerings. At most other vineyards we only find 1-2 wines we really enjoy. Also, the owner/winemaker is almost always there and he is a super friendly guy that reminds me of Bill Clinton. He's a character.

The wine tastings are a little overpriced but you only need to do that once to find your favorites.

Overall wine and atmosphere were casual and enjoyable. Inside was small and meant really only for tasting at the wine bar. Outside had a nice cozy patio to enjoy with a cover and picnic tables on the hills of the vineyard if you want a little more sun. Wine tasting gives you three options to choose from allowing you to try a few to all wines they have. (Don't forget to check out the cheese far on your way in as well, on Fri - Sat)

This place will sign a contract, which to them is a fictional paper. Said they would have a heated tent - the tent was 38 degrees inside with not a single heater. Said that the wedding is the only event after 5 pm - had another event that they said there is no chance of the music being heard in the tent. Needed to call the venue during speeches due to not being able to hear the speech inside the tent because of the music blasting from the other party. The owner is a fraud and a cheat. Strongly recommend you continue looking for a venue if you are considering this place. You will be disappointed.

I am apart of a reputable wine website who will remain anonymous for now and when I m out with family or friends I try and seperate business and personal. Today I could not show the strength to do so when arriving to this winery. We arrived in a limo with my sister in law s birthday, who has been through a lot in life, to celebrate her birthday. We arrived and were immediately stopped in the parking lot by an employee and told we could not come in. No need to go on with details as this was just a small negative bump in a very postive day but this business needs to take a step back and relearn business etiquette 101.

Great experience at Priam. Cozy tasting room and very friendly staff complemented the incredible wine selection. Three different tasting options (4, 6, or 8 wines). Spring for the 8 wines - they are all wonderful. Each is unique and some were spectacular (I don't usually drink whites, but my wife wanted to try the 2 year oak Chardonnay. It was amazing).

We visisted on a cold December day, wish we had come in warmer weather. The tasting room is in a quaint lodge and the property is very pleasant and scenic. Great winery.

Amazing wine and amazing atmosphere. The bartender makes the experience even better. Tasting comes with a glass and the option for add ons. If you are touring a couple of wineries and are holding out to purchase bottles, here is the place. The patio is beautiful and the place uses solar panels, so pro green!!!

I went when there was an event and it was very cold out so i went inside to look around (very small selection of wine), i was out of the way looking since it was busy when an employee came up to me. He was extremely rude and told me to go back outside if i wasn t going to buy something. Lost all future sales from me and my family. As you can see from the response, he can t take criticism very well. Arguing Who was right in that moment The customer is always right.

Wine is okay for Connecticut, but skip the trip. Wine tasting not worth the ten dollars--not much welcoming spirit here. Feels like you are in someone's backyard without the welcoming atmosphere.
I am sure the vinter works very hard and the wine is good. I suggest if you like local order online or ask your favorite grocery story to carry.

What a great way to spend a fall afternoon! I was very impressed with the amount of outdoor seating and great wine selection Priam had to offer. I would recommend getting a bottle of Gewurztraminer as you enjoy some light bites. Priam has a tiered tasting system with each level allowing you to get your very one Priam branded glass as a little souvenir. The staff at Priam are very knowledgeable on each wine they serve. However, the tasting took a little longer than expected as there was only one wine steward who alternated between each tasting group. Personally, I think the tasting tables would have benefited from a second wine steward to help, especially if all groups were doing the level three and four tastings.

Disappointed. Staff barely interacted with us except to pour wine. Felt that we were bothering the person pouring the wine and he had more important things to do. Definitely not the friendly, warm environment that it was when Gary was there. He always made you feel welcomed.

Great event. However, just a few comments... pours of wine could have been more generous. Hard to really taste pairing with cheese with so little wine. The 1:00pm tasting was oversold and we were all very cramped. One hour only felt very rushed. The 2:00 tasting folks were coming in while we were still tasting.

Went there for the first time for their father's day BBQ and it was great!! Food was super yummy and the wine was very tasty! I had the Jeremy River White Wine which was nicely refreshing and sweet! Super cute atmosphere with lovely trees, nice little patio and everyone was friendly! Thank you, I will definitely be coming back!

5 of us visited Priam yesterday hoping to enjoy a wine tasting and a birthday picnic. After we were informed that we could only enjoy crackers and cheese, not our picnic, it was suggested we sit on the patio. They would turn on the heaters. Nice gesture but it was 34 degrees.
We decided to just do a wine tasting but after standing at the tasting bar , trying to make space( there were only 3 other patrons at the bar ), and being ignored by both servers for 15 minutes, we left.
Priam has changed so much since its beginning. The atmosphere is unwelcoming and superior. While I'll include it for the CT wine trail, I'll no longer look to it for place.to gather and enjoy time with friends.
We went to Chateau le Gari a few minutes away and had a wonderful afternoon!

We have been to this vinyard many times, great place to go after stocking up at Cato corner with some cheese. My fiance and I are getting married in September and we requested to take our first look photos on their premises. When my fiance called she was greeted by an extremely rude staff member. He told her that it was insulting for her to ask to take photos at the vineyard without having our reception there. All we wanted was some lovely first look photographs and we were met with disapointment. We were avid supporters of this vineyard and will never return and will share that sentiment with friends and family. Very rude and disrespectful, will not recommend this venue for any event.
